Maybe, however, I feel most game devs these days see a very consistent trend in who is willing to spend real money on stuff. I’m sure they are banking on a lot of people who ‘just need to have’ every unlockable skin or character before everyone else.
So you do not confuse them with any other game.
Gears of War 4 had Credits. I am presuming Gears Coins in Gears 5 is a different system to distance from Credits from Gears of War 4.
I like the fact items were limited
Makes game more interesting
Work for what u want
Not everyone rocking same skins etc
Perhaps. We will have to see what is said in today’s stream.
Also, welcome to the community.
Have to wonder why they removed the entire scrap and supply system, because now for PvE players they may need to decide between upgrading cards and getting something from the store.
yeah but couldn’t you confuse Gear Points (which is in ranked) with Gear Coins? Now I’m by no means the dude that is paid to name stuff, but I can see confusion brewing on the horizon.
Makes sence however i would have hoped for some sort of name other than just gears coins, could have even just called it gold.
Probably the intention not the result friend…
Scrap and supply were awful systems that relied heavily on RNG. It also punished new players and slowed down their progress to a halt until they could start reliably getting dupes, which took too long anyway.
RNG should never be a deciding factor in progression.
Fair point, guess cant really judge until i have used it and know the conversion rates, and the coin earn rates.
Sounds great. Can’t wait to see it roll out.
Because some people are willing to spend money on something they like as an honor to the people who made it.
Should’ve called them Dom’s tomato tokens.
Or just tomato tokens
I am sure if you are of the uneducated type, then yeah, you would confuse Points from Coins.
PvP for me is a no no, i dislike PvP, but even i know Gears Points are for PvP, you need certain Points to keep playing PvP. Gears Coins, like Coins anywhere else are for buying stuff with.
So, no, on my end, there would be no confusion. Anyone else reading this have the same conclusion…
They f-ed up my tokens up!

My question is about duplicate cards. There’s obviously no use for duplicates so presumably they will be turned into Gear Coins just as Scrap will?
folks have been predicting level 6 cards for quite some time, that’s the reigning theory anyways.
