Think about what you are saying.
CSR for profit. Profit from WHO. Political groups, backed by big donors with very strong political views.
Who do you think is paying for the show, and why? The money comes from somewhere, follow it, and get back to me. It is very clear big donor monor is being funneled through smaller orginizations to pay for this content in every medium our culture offers.
This isn’t a new topic, and the very people pushing back on CSR have these same opinions. Not every faction, but they exist.
Social issues are inherently political.
The ideal that we are moving towards a world where the oppressed minorites are alleived by and large from their oppression is a left wing fantasy. Any social issue concerning that meta trend is an inherently political leftist agenda.

If people had to pay for a pride flag they would complain that they have to pay to represent their sexual orientation.

It isn’t just marketing, it’s fear of backlash for not playing along.
These companies are doing this because if they don’t, they don’t get their precious CSR points.
Yes, that is a point of contension for the left, but the fact of the matter is that the pressure for the insincerity is being produced WHOLELY by the left.
