But GOW (or any other game and its plot) doesn’t exist in a bubble. It takes from all manner of inspiration from real life and writers will have their own mesages. The whole Pendulum Wars plotline could be read as a Western-Soviet inspired plot with a healthy dose of “blood-for-oil” subtext.

I know a lot of gay people and they seem to be fine and I’m glad they are doing well.
I see no persecution at all and they tell me that.

That’s because lgbt, trans, and anything that is an “perceived to be” oppressed group these days are the new aristocracy. We aren’t allowed to talk about them, but they can barge into every medium in our culture.

There’s no doubt there has been progress in LGBT rights on the last few decades, but homophobia is unfortunately still a thing. In many parts of the world gay couples aren’t even allowed to get married. In some countries homosexuality is illegal and punishable by prison or death sentences. Plus I very much doubt a straight couple would be set upon by thugs due to their sexuality, whereas a gay couple may do.

Many published reports have been challenging CSR and the nature of its supposed altruistic intent.
This is essentially the premise of many arguments in here and it is being questioned by scholars too.
Its not political, it is merely a marketing act (CSR) that is mimicking the controversial narrative of ‘pride’.
It is also worth noting that pride itself is nothing more than a marketing act (pride apple watches, pride sales, pride merch).

Funny you didn’t mention the nature of some of those disagreements are a political basis.

The people paying for it, are politically motivated entities. Money is a factor, but politics is the backbone of this situation.
