Please don’t generalize Gears5 haters like that. I happen to dislike the game somewhat, but feel like I’ve got more sense than to blame TC for not letting me change my GT.

When it comes to consoles very few games let you change your name. You can change your display name in CoD MW once every six months with your Activision account but not Gears, in Gears you use your XBL gamertag. Perhaps you could reach out to TC / Microsoft if it’s a feature you would like to see added to future titles.

True but also with the latest update we can all change our name for free, no matter if you had already, as a one off. Now you can have ANY name (as long as no swears etc) and MS will add some numbers in a softer font. :slight_smile:
I have already had about 4 names always Simpsons and or Gears reference.

They are not haters mark… they are people who don’t like the product as it is…

they are demanding something better, its fair Mark. Money was involved into buying the product… they should be given a better product and you know it.

Anyone who’s not satisfied with Gears 5 at this point is being unreasonable. It’s an amazing package and better value than 99% of AAA games.

I’ve always thought it was great that some people love the game. But, when they militantly try to suppress other opinions and even spread misinformation, it gives me the impression that they don’t actually have any faith in the game.

I actually don’t blame the customers ( us ) I blame specifically the people who designed the game ( Gears 5) … they had a lot of time to work on the game and instead we were given a drip feed product a la fornite business model with a bad twist all the way LOL :smile:

What do you mean? You want to exceed the 12 character limit? Use the 360, afaik you can still use 14 or so characters if you change it over there.

For me, every “road” leads to this “up to 12” webpage. Even from the XBOX webpage and XBOX windows app.
Or there is an another XBOX app for Windows!?

Edit: There was another app for Windows that is also leads to this page…

I just wanted to change my name into “ForbiddenForester”… But appearantly it is too long for XBOX… :no_mouth:
