Movement Mechanics Update - Operation 2

After this latest update I have a decent out of lag with controller input. Any fixes? Unplayable right now

Didn’t even notice it honestly, Shotgun needs a fix for hipfiring though please, whens the new omen coming?

I did a few social games and the movement DOES ā€œfeelā€ ā€œbetterā€ā€¦ I still find that some movement sequences are not as easy or reliable (I’m not talking hyper bouncing, I mean just one slide , cancel, slide to another wall, that’s it - max 2 slide together), and it FEEL like the movement is slower… I will try to jump back and forth between 4 and 5 a few times to compare…

I will be honest: the movement, how it is now, doesn’t feel bad to me… I don’t know if it will effective with the other changes from 4 to 5 (aim assist, gnasher, etc)… Will see…

I’ve not noticed any increase in strafing speeds, still takes forever to get moving.

Also the walls are ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  glue, particularly around corners.

Yeah, I’m not a strafer, so I can’t comment on tat…

It does feel ā€œbetterā€ but its no where near to where I’d think it’s good/fun… but that’s highly subjective, I know…

It feels like shiiit right now, unplayable. everything worked 100x better before the stupid update

YEAHH i been waiting to ripp yall a new one 1st things 1st that new gears 5 shotgun BS is crazy 97% no kill or down REALLY alot of the vets have went back to gears 4 frl because this game is like a newer gears judgement common GEARs its been 10 plus yeears now yall kno what we expect by now smh ill be on gears 4 because g5 is a disappointment waste of 80$ sadly

Does Allfather’s Arena show up in any of the quickplay playlists? I could swear I played it on Arcade earlier in the week, but haven’t had any luck getting it to show up tonight.

I can confirm that they do. Had it appear on both AI and Classic.

Old movement felt better. Game feels to chaotic since the update. And do something about the chainsaw. People run through shots with it.

Personally I love the moment changes, makes the game feel more fast paced (which I love), and makes me want to engage in CQC with the gnasher more often.

Alot of you guys are misunderstanding the meta and being punished for it you gotta hit shots. you have to be able to shoot with us and not just spam buttons everytime you get 4 pointed like it’s tekken inside an arcade.
1.) Anyways a few Ideals i suggest would to be able to pull out weapons faster (if we keep this movement) reload faster. The problem isnt necessarily the speed it’s not being able to counter it
2.) Button delays inbetween tapping slide, stops that stationary bounce(hyper bounce) that everyone’s mad about and will throw others into want to mix it up. Gotta put a delay inbetween melee and slide they’ll bug it out once or twice trying to bounce faster.
3.)5 second bleed out time needs to be repolished if you guys do decide to keep it, 4 and a half second or back to 4 ,
4.) longer health regen when you cancel needs to go you cant shoot inbetween a bounce you have to cancel
5.)Shotgun spread needs to be tightened with this new update on the horizon people are sittin back a little more trying to find something that works. you can’t just slip speed your way out of a righthand you gotta be able to shoot with him. tighter spread for long range equals a hit or miss theory put a little skill a lot of people will close distance with the up a or a roadie with every intention to stick the barrel as close to you as they can. really need a better mid range one shot for that
6.) character strafe side to side is fine, shooting out of a rodie spamming shots/rodies isnt,
7.) strafe bloom, rodie bloom need to be added back, adds a little skill
We’ve have played this game over and over again and it’s time for something new, we keep having to go back to previous ways it’s been 6 titles now and they do this every time. Gow 4 faster bouncing, gow 5 slower bouncing and we still have the same health regen system as gow 4.

Playing on PC with a controller.

There’s something seriously wrong with the Gnasher after TU3. I’m thinking the mentioned aim adhesion problem is not strictly to KB&M users. However, I don’t own a Xbox to test this for myself. Please test PC/Controller for this issue before submitting it.

Easy blindfire shots return squat. Easy kills in gib range return either nothing or less than 20% and leave me getting gibbed from someone spamming the fire button on console.

Tons of easy moves, Up-A, Back-A, Roadie Strafe to blind fire, all seem to end up in a flip of a coin - random.

Movement is great, feel I have to post this so it’s another positive voice and the negatives dont outway. Seriously good work so much better. You no longer feel like a brick wall , its fluid and you can dodge shots rather than get gubbed by scrubs.
