Most Memorable Gears Moment

What’s your guys’ most memorable moment(s) from playing any of the Gears of War games?

My personal moment would be playing through the entire Gears 3 campaign on Insane with 3 other random players. It was around the same time the Mission Impossible event was out (which gave out a free skin if you beat the Campaign on Insane difficulty). I joined a group in the first mission and we played the entirety of the campaign without anyone leaving. The final boss fight itself took a long time to complete, especially once the Palace Guards show up with the Shriekers. Personally getting off the final Hammer strike on Myrrah and watching the achievements role in was such an amazing feeling!

The first time I got MVP in TDM. I was astonished. Didn’t think I was doing well at all.
(Maybe the other team was trash?)

Nah. We all have those games where we just beast it up! Getting MVP is always a treat though, especially in a sweaty match.

Gears 3 a 1 v 8 clutch on rustlung , enemy team was so salty! So in the next round they make the glitch/smoke granade to lag the game and kicking us off .
My only witness to that day are two cousins who where in the party :’) , too bad that time can’t make clips for that on the 360

I always tense up in those situations, so it’s awesome to hear you f-ing killed it! But yeah, salty players can never accept that someone may just be better than them…

That rush when you’re the last man is pretty unique in gears, (other games have it but doesn’t feel the same).

Unfortunately ( and i blame TC for it) now everyone is playing safe even if it’s only one enemy left. Not just because could be a beast and clutch, also due to the random lag , weapons inconsistensy and losing “rank points”. At this point everyone seems more happy forcing a stalemate.

Me in the otherway… Yesterday i screw up a 2v10 cause against the last 2 i keep pushing and my teammate have other idea, like retreating too far to play safe. i got crossed ,So we Lost that round xD

this is by far the best man:

from 0:56 to 1:13 , in that specific moment you could really caught up what GEARS OF WAR ITS ALL ABOUT.

I done the same thing.
I played through the campaign from start to finish splitscreen with my wife and 2 randoms.at the end of each session we arranged when to play next.

Anyway mine was…

Beating general raam on insane on the original gears 1. I was stuck ck for weeks. Went back to him after a couple of months and beat him after 2 or 3 tries.

Insane horde with 3 hard mutators…on gears 3…on Artillery…score 1.38 mill…top 50 in world on that map…alongside beating River on insane…gears 2 with a 4 man team…best memories amongst others​:blush:…gears 4…inconcievable horde…on Lift…3 man team…no sentries /strikes/turrets used…sorry nothing memorable about 5 im afraid…:rofl:

Ahem I got two one older and one more recently both very special/fun to me

1st one around 2011/2012 played the campaign GOW3 and beat it with my mother and had a fun time bonding over Gears of War 3

2nd one around a year ago played a execution game on GOW 4 both teams tied so far final match last one left enemy team 4 left remember playing with guys with mics who one went dang we lost it I ran far side to boltok and proceeded to go around the corner spin again take one out go to wall cover and then get the next guy on its corner second last guy was one stairs and the other was running past halfway of map by grenades I go up stairs and wallbounce to stairs and barely take him out with the Omen red so I decide to wait and heal guy decides to rush me thinking I am still low and I end up just gibbing him it was a fun adrenaline pumping game and not only that but it allowed me to actually make some GOW friends and they were pretty fun to play with until it slowly disbanded and now I play Solo dang I miss doing that with the movement Gears 5 just doesnt seem to have it sorry if this was long I could have simplified it but I thought detail would be good :laughing:

No need to apologize, that was a great read! Those instances where your adrenaline is at a peak high and you manage to take out someone is amazing. It’s also super fun to hear about playing Gears with the family. My mom’s not super into video games, so it’s nice to hear your’s is

She was in her prime but as time goes on she has obtained easy motion sickness but she still tries to find time to play the campaign whenever a Gears comes out although its a slow process its fun carrying her as she once carried me shes not really able to play console as well anymore due to the fastness and possibly lighting and graphics sometimes because moving so fast the blur and etc messes with her.

Fun fact:Even she misses the Locust and thinks they are cooler than the Swarm as I informed they are a new enemy so thats how you know they got Gears Facts S t r a i g h t

Playing gears of war 1,2 and 3 co op with my little brother as Marcus and Dom and when Dom died in 3 it impacted us pretty hard. Only time a game made me cry besides halo reach. He was mad that he had to play as Jace and Anya after Dom died.

I did the exact same thing. Only by myself -.- Took a long time. Then once it was over I think I realized I already had the damn weapon skin because I already finished Insane prior to that challenge being released. I thought I had to do it all over again. I think I didnt have too.
