Minh,Sam and Sraak due to release tomorrow! (Hype)

When will V-Day Sam be available on its own?

Theres no set time frame

If they put her behind Islander Lahni then hell will be starting to thaw from it’s freeze over

I’d much rather buy a reasonablly priced dlc pack like the ones from 3. A ■■■■ ton of content for 10-15 dollars ■■■■ yeah bud.

Sam in my game looks old, totally diferent from the one in the yutube videos
why?

You’re using Armored Sam instead of V-Day Sam. The only way to play as V-Day Sam as of right now is to buy the newest bundle that came out today.

Horde Command Pack kinda goes against the “reasonably priced” dlc point you made.

It added new maps new characters and new abilities for ever fortification
Including the sliver back, hod command center, and npc onyx guards to help.
And it was like $11

Those fortifications were already done though and on disc, they just decided to charge us (the customers) for it, nevermind that this is basically pay2win as it gave folks who paid money advantages over ones who didn’t.

It still has more value than what we pay for now. At almost half the price of the trash we can pay for today. And we know for a fact that TC already had characters like paduk and Lizzie done due to the e3 gameplay and decided to withhold them for no reason. Where as epic just didn’t have the time to complete the those few fortifications and decided to just bundle them with characters, skins and maps later on. And it’s far from pay to win, the onyx guards npcs are booty cheeks and the H.O.D command center barely works on any in door map like check out. The sliver back tho, that’s pretty good

Not to mention you didn’t need the dlc to play the new maps or with people who had the fortifications. If someone in your game had the ability to buy the Command center or the sliver back you could use it

On top of it the season pass for gears 3 was $30 and you cannot argue that the current system is better when we’re paying almost the same price(if we choose to do so) for 2-3 characters one weapon skin set and either a emote or a blood spary

That’s complete and absolute BS, they just pulled an EA move and decided to charge us for stuff that was on the disc (back when people bought discs btw), you make up excuses for bad business practices.

The stuff now is more expensive because its almost all (except for Esports stuff) completely optional and available to be obtained for free by everyone, so yeah each individual items (whether it be a skin or a character and so on) is definitely more expensive than what it once was but the difference is that TC probably has extremely low amounts of players that spend real money on any single piece of content. If you want to argue which game in the series gave you most bang for your buck it was definitely Gears 2, $20 and you got every piece of DLC, and didn’t include any on the disc garbage like the Horde Command Pack (which diminishes the value of the Season Pass for Gears 3 drastically)

This is the ole map pack vs microtransaction debate, although map packs worked well in Gears 2/3 I imagine that it work far worse in Gears 5, just imagine how slow matchmaking would be and how hard the segmentation of the playerbase would effect the game… Microtransactions are the only practical way going forward for Gears 5/Gears 6 going forward.
it’s not an excuse it’s a fact.

The only people left playing are the die hards that spend money and the game pass people. I see chrome steel skins in almost every match I play tbh.
the dlc side mission was on disc content that epic released later as purchasable content.

They could do what they did in 3 and 4 and make it so you can play the maps online even if you don’t own them. And paying for dlc maps would give TC a reason to not just give us remakes of ■■■■■■ gears 4 maps over and over.

For TC and Microsoft yeah, obviously. They make way more money than they ever would just doing dlc content. But this leads to them purposely withholding content for operations to artificially extend the games lifespan like they’ve been doing. Because we know certain things were available in pre release gameplay footage and they just kept it and launched the game with nothing in it.

Collector Minh looking sharp with white armor wish we could get an Anthony or Cog Gear skin like that.
