It’s based on kills nothing else no one picks me up hardly ever. Then they quit because they can see your on their team so they can get that diamond if you quit and it’s their fault drop them to bronze
The game is just based on kills for points the netcode gives boost to up A’s etc etc ,. And I 've been playing gears since 1 st game it’s not whining , we want this game fixed you don’t
And they are fixing it. They are redoing they whole ranking system and are still looking at the movement of the game.
I understand the OP’s frustrations, but regulars on the forums have seen this thread multiple times now. It gets a bit long in the tooth, especially when you know change is coming.

I don’t know what “the net code gives boost to up A’s etc etc” is suppose to mean. But I don’t particularly care if you’re referring to the gnasher.
Yes the ranking system is trash in Gears 5; but it’s being overhauled and in this operation I got Masters by week 5; not by killing - from winning.

Gears 5 has more than one type of game mode, maybe you should consider them before you are off.
I dislike PvP, hate it at times, but i find myself being forced to play it at times. So i use Co-Op Vs A.I. and i am happy with that, mostly.
Ranked is a no no for me, because i have played this sort of thing before, and it is full of lifers. And it seems you hit a group of them too. For me, lifers are evil ■■■■■■■■, avoid at all costs. And do not dismiss Vs A.I. too quickly, even they can be a pain in the rectum.
Well it must be amazing being in your perfect world. I suppose you don’t mind having ALL THE ISSUES that come with GEARS 5. Even the most basic of issues that could / should be solved. being in a lobby with friends, ready to play KOTH. My team mates are discussing what map to choose and I’m looking at the start screen with the menu’s on. There is more wrong with the game than right. The thing that annoys me the most though, is we have all paid for this game. That may not bother you and that’s fine for you to say that it doesn’t bother you but I don’t think you should mock someone else for airing their views.
RedDoog888, you seem like a decent player. Someone who will obviously be great in a team so if you’re desperate and don’t mind a bit of banter send me a friend request. Always more than welcome buddy.

Am I going to get bent out of shape when me and/or my friends can’t vote on a map? No, the map doesn’t dictate how well I am going to do.
There have been issues with every single Gears games. What you think may be a simple fix; may not be. That’s not an excuse for TC; they really dropped the ball with 5’s launch. Support and communication hasn’t been ideal either; but the MP isn’t as broken as these forums make it out to be.
I know some people can be very sensitive about their rank in competitive games however my advice to the original poster would be if he really feels like he has increased his skill level as a player to make a new account. perhaps he is in such a skill point deficit the background skilled t the number that is not reflective of your rank, at the moment his account might not be getting rewarded for matches that he wins very much because of the game system might not put him in that skill bracket. The game is pretty forgiving as long as you can consistently put up some good numbers me and a few friends I know have been able to rank up to some pretty high ranks fairly quickly. You don’t even have to squad up with somebody but sqauding up with a player that you generally know is good definitely does help. it’s just a thought in any event I wish the original poster the best of luck .

I’m pissed about the ranking system too. I haven’t been able to find games when I 5 stack & takes 5-8 minutes when I 4 stack if I’m lucky… so I’m forced to play with randoms…
& being a diamond 3 player I get the most trash allies and get put against clans … like I seriously want to call for violence on TC at times for being so out of touch… But I calm down eventually.
I’ve been feeling the same thing except I can’t make it past onyx 2. What pisses me off is that I get stuck with some potato skilled teammate that’s barely level 30 or MAYBE has 1 re up while I get out up against a 5 stack clan of people over re up 10 or 15! It just baffles me how that works out in matchmaking lol. Sometimes I’ll get knocked down to gold 2 after 1 or 2 matches lost and it’ll take me another 6 or 7 wins to go back to gold 3 then another set to onyx 1 . I’m sure if you got placed with me I’d talk so much trash to you as to why you can’t keep up when ultimately it wasnt even your choice to be stuck with gold\onyx\diamond level players. It’s frustrating on both sides that’s for sure. So in the mean time I’ll fly around as jack in horde instead.
They need to show ranks again…at least then you knew what u are playing against or with. The current ranking system doesn’t work because it’s based on a total skill point add up. That gives a lot of leeway for un even match making.
You know what’s funny? They said they took guardian out cuz not enuff ppl played but all you hear is how much ppl miss it…lol…btw I’m another who loved guardian…they should bring it back to ranked

I’ll admit, the changes have been long coming, but then again I’d rather them take their time and get it right, then rush out some half completed rubbish.
