I’m pissed about the ranking system too. I haven’t been able to find games when I 5 stack & takes 5-8 minutes when I 4 stack if I’m lucky… so I’m forced to play with randoms…
& being a diamond 3 player I get the most trash allies and get put against clans … like I seriously want to call for violence on TC at times for being so out of touch… But I calm down eventually.
I’ve been feeling the same thing except I can’t make it past onyx 2. What pisses me off is that I get stuck with some potato skilled teammate that’s barely level 30 or MAYBE has 1 re up while I get out up against a 5 stack clan of people over re up 10 or 15! It just baffles me how that works out in matchmaking lol. Sometimes I’ll get knocked down to gold 2 after 1 or 2 matches lost and it’ll take me another 6 or 7 wins to go back to gold 3 then another set to onyx 1 . I’m sure if you got placed with me I’d talk so much trash to you as to why you can’t keep up when ultimately it wasnt even your choice to be stuck with gold\onyx\diamond level players. It’s frustrating on both sides that’s for sure. So in the mean time I’ll fly around as jack in horde instead.
They need to show ranks again…at least then you knew what u are playing against or with. The current ranking system doesn’t work because it’s based on a total skill point add up. That gives a lot of leeway for un even match making.
You know what’s funny? They said they took guardian out cuz not enuff ppl played but all you hear is how much ppl miss it…lol…btw I’m another who loved guardian…they should bring it back to ranked
They say change is coming but how long have we been hearing that? I’ll believe it when I see it…lol

I’ll admit, the changes have been long coming, but then again I’d rather them take their time and get it right, then rush out some half completed rubbish.

Hey mate, had a buddy who wasn’t able to break out of silver for the longest time. I took him to customs for a couple days just two hours everytime. He got bored sure, but we spent that time polishing his engagement strategy and his understanding of the ranked system. He made it to gold 3 soon after and is working on onyx. If you ever want to meet up and try working out a play for you, just hmu. TheSevenBlades. Most of my mates don’t play anything other than TDM, but I’m down for any mode myself.

Appreciate it, I have a goal to achieve and Gears will be one of the ways I achieve it. I figured it was time to really get to know the community. I have heard all the gripes and praises while playing the game regularly, but I’m hoping I’ll find a chance to really sit down and get to know the plight players and developers are dealing with. If I can offer a hand anywhere though, for example here, that becomes my prerogative.
Oh it’s been a long while since I actually sat down and played Gears for hours. I don’t have any more interest in the multiplayer modes. In my first few months I gave it a chance, but it just doesn’t draw me in like previous Gears of War games. Gears 4 had connection issues but it was still a pretty nice game. Gears 5 Campaign is great and I really hope that @XboxP3 Phil Spencer listens to the fans of this franchise and fix these multiplayer issues. I want to thank him for listening to all my previous ideas and happy to see those consoles come to life. Game Pass, Games With Gold, Xbox One X and Xbox One S all came to life and the next gen console is using the blueprint for Xbox One X so that is great.
This franchise is a lovable one and we the community care so much about it . In my opinion Tour of Duty was a crappy idea and hopefully Gears 6 has something better in mind. It would be nice to see OVERRUN again in Gears but a better version of it. Let’s look at all the positive things and put together something nice.

Like why make a system that can get a lucky person to Onyx by winning 8 times.
I’m having the exact same issues. My post about this was removed the other day for some reason.
I’ve taken a million steps back lately as I’m playing players who are way better than I am. I’m struggling to get 10 eliminations per game now, it’s embarrassing and I’m just being a liability to my teammates.
The constant being one shotted drives me INSANE!!!
I’m just not enjoying playing the game at all now.
Seems like we can’t have our own opinion on what we dislike about the game. We can only speak about the ‘good’ things.

There are plenty of negative posts on the forum, I’m not sure why you think negative posts aren’t allowed, especially with an abundance of evidence contrary to your claim.
As long as people follow the forum rules they are allowed to complain.
