Markza question

How do you guys pronounce Markza?

MarKza

or

MarZka?

My friends call it “ MarZka” referring to how Paduk called it in Judgement.

Mark-zka. So sort of with an Eastern European twang to it. Like how the Polish for “Poland” is “Polska”.

EDIT;
Also on a sidenote, I’ve come across a couple of people (who don’t seem to be connected) who pronounce “Gnasher” as “Ga-nasher” - basically pronouncing the G. And throwing in an extra A.

Hmm interesting and doesn’t make sense to me to be honest lol

I speak Russian and we say it as Mark-za.

Why would people add “ K” sound after “ z”?…

Definitely “Mark-Za”

As in “Mark’s a ■■■■”

Dunno. I’m British and we’re notorious for being rubbish at languages. :stuck_out_tongue:

I will sometimes deliberately pronounce it like that, G’Nasher…just to be overtly Gearsish and super lee7, but yeah I know the G is really silent.

The only way to pronounce it is how Paduk did it

“It isnt a weapon, it’s a comrade.”

We aren’t worthy enough to refer to it as Chaduk does.

We say MarKza

Mark-sa (latam spanish, not the Z from spanish spain) (or at least chilean spanish)

Sometimes german tricks the brain to say Mark-tza

And for Gnasher, there was a time (Gears 3) that I heard some players said Gansher.

G-nas-her
