Yeah, I don’t agree. Always disliked TDM in gears. I feel it isn’t competitive enough. I felt like it didn’t have any place in gears 3.

This isn’t an argument for removing it entirely, but it doesn’t belong in ranked. You can’t have so many playlists in such low player counts. I’d also get FFA out of ranked too. Gears is a team oriented game, and even more so in a competitive environment. FFA does have a place, but it belongs outside ranked. Lot of FFA is luck on spawn, and judging engagements and enemy movement on the map.

Problem is huge player count of Rank TDM .
And why ?
One reason is that in social matches you dont have opportunity to choose are you playing against computer players or not , Ranked match you can choose cross-play on or off .

Like i said earlier most of those Rank TDM players wont change game mode they change game , and thats not good thing for Gears :wink:

I find it very hard to believe that some players are only playing TDM exclusively and if there are then it is so minuscule that it doesn’t rlly matter.

Less playlists will improve matchmaking times and will provide faster results than if we just kept those 10 people lol. Sometimes you have to play that game of taking away.

Well there are no bots in social TDM and as far as cross play goes I dont see what the big deal is, I always was a Xbox player up until gears 4 when I got a beefy computer, Now Ive been playing on there ever since and I still have the same experience I had on Xbox, just the way I control is different. There are alot more console players then PC players and most of them are just as good or better then the PC players I’ve played with.

I spend all my time on FFA and KoTH when I play Social, I was never a big fan of TDM in 3 and I’m still not. It’s just a simplified warzone with respawns, though to be honest I always liked it more than warzone.

But i know not of these players , they just play Rank TDM becouse they like it, and they dont want to run and die and cap a ring on KOTH .

I play mostly Rank TDM and KOTH , ilike both game modes.
couple my friends play only KOTH and TDM is like curse word to them .

But point is that player count will dropp and we all know what will happend them .

King is a good mode. I’m not bashing it. But TDM is another animal.

TDM you need win your 1’vs or the game can dramatically flip & end. I played more TDM than any mode. It’s not easy. & if it’s easy it’s because your ranked with low players, just like any mode would be.

King is fine. I’ll play king for now. But It’s just a different thrill of the game.

TDM has a huge player pool in gears. I probably have more TDM played than you have in all modes you have combined.

TDM is a dedicated fan base. Why would you wanna choke off that part to improve another mode? Just doesn’t make sense.

@metallicwrath if all you do is play social you wouldn’t understand.

The problem is the tdm is the MOST POPULAR GEARS MODE since it was introduced in g3 and this mode, logically, contains more g fans than any other mode and this fans wants to compete.

Gears 5 is hot trash, ya’ll need to stop supporting TC as they obviously don’t listen to their fans. I’ve been a fan since the first Gears 1 but it’s obvious Gears 5 is a watered down/cater to everyone cash grab. It feels like a kiddy game compared to its predecessor. Everything from the bright main menu to the ridiculous/useless blood sprays. But people will continue to support this trash just because it’s the 5th installment, not because it’s better.

I honestly like TDM, ( prefer it over warzone tbh) But I despise most of the players because of how casual, bad and clueless they can be. Even on my highest rank from previous op (gold 3, dont play it much because of the same reason) theres still players that just feed the enemy team and end up with 3/15 KD ratio. I always have 2 outcomes when playing this mode, 2 or 3 players carry the team and win, or we lose because the team is full of dumb players that love to waste lives.

Im neutral to this, TDM is such a casual playlist anyways. It wont be removed, however I get yall, felt the same way when Guardian was taken out of ranked. As long as TC keeps it is own playlist and dont merge it with other game modes like they did with guardian.

Yeah, I’m glad, TDM in this game is just not it. Camp fest that was even worse than 3 & 4 blood drive tdms.

Casuals are the majority (no problem here.)More casuals play TDM. It’s environment isn’t competitive enough for ranked. It’s as simple as that.

Casuals play in bronze and silver, its simple as that. Onyx and dimond players delivers tough, skillfull, aggressive and tactical matches one by one.

I am devasted considering I played it with my mates, will it have bots in quickplay? If no bots I am fine…

Maybe your experience is casual because you’re not that high ranked. But as a master I get good competitive competition every game.

@GoDiGY_x if you played enough TDM you’d know that it’s like chess. If you don’t make any moves it becomes campy. Just like any game where you don’t make a move. Your game style is campy then.

I honestly don’t know what to say.

I think they have totally dropped the ball with Gears 5 multiplayer but i have stuck with it all the way, now might be time to put it down.

TDM is the only game type i play and was looking forward to the new ranking system, im not playing quick play with bots and people dropping in and out!!

Disagree TDM is for casuals. Just depends on your rank. Any match where you’re bronze, silver, gold is filled with casuals.

But I’ll agree i don’t like it.
