I’m glad it’s coming back, but I am quite apprehensive about a lot of the gameplay changes included in this update.

Hyped it’s coming back. Not sure why 4v4 though, how does that improve anything???
As a mostly solo player I can’t say I’m bothered about playing against stacked teams either, it’s a team game so it comes with the territory. I don’t get why its ok to be a solo against a stack in KOTH but not TDM either??

Yeah, its too many and I don’t like the fact they are describing the changes as being made so that “every gnasher playstyle is viable” or whatever.
It just really goes back to my biggest complaint about Gears 5 overall- They just can’t stop making changes. Just make it as good as you can and leave the gameplay alone- how are you ever supposed to get used to the “feel” of the game when it changes every week?
TC, just please give us new maps.

Yeah, 4v4 doesn’t seem to address anything at all. Even worse is the movement and gameplay changes they made. And TDM isn’t back for another 3 weeks…

What are you thoughts on 2 as a max squad size?
I’d say it makes for unique game play & prevent the frustration of consistently facing stacks.
At the same time I know people will be upset that they can’t stack.
As for me, I was never really a stacker.
I’d think it’s a huge plus for those who just want to play a game for fun without the ridiculous try hard effect.
You’d still try hard but a stack try hard is a lancers game.
This would certainly reduce the lancer/camp affect with only squads of 2.
It might make for a great change! Well just have to see. I’m already fantasizing a strategy.
I’m very pleased TC has been hearing us out.
The gameplay, with these changes, would make this the fastest ranked mode.
Really can’t wait to play!

I’ll concede it for now but I really hope they change their mind and bring back the old formula. Forcing me to only pick up 1 friend for TDM games while the other team based modes get off scott free kind of rubs me the wrong way but I guess we’ll have to see how it fairs out before judgment. Im just not really a fan of the change tbh. Still, I’m at least glad it didn’t take 3 months for the “possibility” of it returning. Sooner rather than later, ya know?

I do agree but atleast we get back ranked tdm.
Now we just need escalation.
Wondder if they changed anything else? Like they idots that feed the other tm, will they now get punished for it? ie lose points per death or increased spawn timer.
Thats my biggest hate about tdm, can u Imagine getting paired with 2 pl like that? Team works gone right there.
Can see this failing unless feeders get punished.

Please reconsider reducing teams to 4 and allow us to queue up with however many players we want. The original settings were fine, this new version will not be as popular and kill a chunk of the community off

Less communication makes for a fast mode! I’d imagine less crossing too. Which I hate, who doesn’t hate that.
I could be completely wrong too. But less lancers could mean less lancers, I hope it’s not more.
But We’ll see. I can see the argument for both. I’m just happy it’s coming back.

The only necessary change for TDM was to change the maximum amount of times someone can die to 4 lives each, retaining a pool of 20 lives for the team.
Edit: Also the ability for a player to give one of their lives to an eliminated team mate would be cool.

I love the idea of 4v4 and solo/duos only, would love to see how that works for king of the hill as well
