i actually had just crossed from gears 4 to 5 last week, and now that tdm is gone, i pretty much have nothing to do…

i want to continue playing gears 5 but i’m just not a fan of any of the ranked modes and the rolling lobby tdm is no good… too many mismatches and players in and out…

i guess we could try bot backfill, but ultimately, there should definitely be a tdm where 5v5 is guaranteed and we get two solid rounds

i would play escalation, even tho the new format was pretty bad, but where is it?

They’ll bring back TDM.

This forum is one of their biggest replies to forums. Proof people play the mode.

I think ranked TDM is worthy of being a ranked gamemode.

You have to communicate with your teammates & secure power weapons to control portions of the map. You can’t just blindly run into combat like in KOTH or you will lose.

I really like the TDM ranked & I wish it would return.

Strong disagree, team deathmatch is not competitive and should not be a ranked mode. It should have never been a ranked mode. TDM is a casual game mode and should remain in quickplay/arcade. I’m thankful the developers removed guardian and TDM from ranked.

They are bringing it back, they are working on TDM changes as it’s not competitive enough currently

But why does the existence of Ranked TDM effect you? In my opinion, you are 100% wrong about it not being competitive. It had the player base to support it as a Ranked mode. Please explain to me why the developers removing popular options from Ranked is a good thing for the game, the Gears “community,” or for you personally?

Why ? For the last few weeks before the update of operation 4 searching for a TDM match wait time was 5 minutes and above which means nobody plays TDM. I love TDM but I rather it stay in quick play. KOTH and Gridiron is much competitive

That’s a lie, you don’t know because you don’t play tdm your too busy catching rings.
I always find a game on tdm it’s literally less than a minute and it’s more competitive you need communication to win and map control,

Either TDM or Guardian or both. I would also love to see execution return (although gridiron is somewhat similar). The current playlists seem so limiting.

I have more days and hours played on ranked TDM than any other game mode lol and KOTH is more fun and competitive. At 1 point TDM was all I played but like I said before for the last few weeks before the update it was 4-5 minute wait time for a match . I love TDM why would I lie ? lol

TDM was build for campers like some other game modes. How many times did I see players camping in the opponents base, waiting for the players pop out of their spawn? How many times did I see players camping with power weapon in their spawn section especially when opponents have more life? A lot of times. TDM was a joke,

I agree camping is boring I hate that too but it’s not the game mode that causes players to camp it’s the bad design of the maps which forces you to camp to win. I always push that’s just the way I play. but boring for me is catching a ring for 45mins, Tdm is fun there’s a strategy how to play it’s all about map control and commincation when both teams push it’s the best game mode on gears 5 but I do love exucution I grew up on that game mode on gears 1
