Yeah, we’re not all in agreement on that. Banned players can still play custom and arcade. As far as I’m concerned, you don’t belong in ranked if you’re going to quit losing matches.

All joking aside, I’m gonna play devil’s advocate and go on the record as saying these bans are probably unfair. The system was designed to ramp up gradually after weeks or months of quitting more games than you finish.

There was nothing gradual about what happened to these guys, no opportunity to rehabilitate their quitting behavior, in light of longer and longer suspensions. They just woke up and boom, can’t play competitively until Gears 6.

I’m all for harsh punishments, but people deserve the chance to change their ways too imo.

I got 639 laughs out of this. I’m glad TC shares the same philosophy that I do with quilters and players that know damn well they can’t keep a good enough connection for a Ranked match. There are issues, yes, but if you get a ban like that it’s probably because you’ve been a habitual quitter or are constantly getting dropped from ranked matches due to crap internet. If you can’t meet the minimum criteria, then don’t play ranked.

If I was getting disconnected I would notify TC of the problem and I’m sure they would look into it. So to come up with a disconnect excuse I don’t believe that BS. Hopefully they do this to fools in Gears 5. I always see TC on Twitter asking player’s for GT’s all the time and they can’t say TC doesn’t respond because they actually do just not here on forum’s.

Any that actually honed up to quitting honed up to pretty rampant quitting, as in just about every losing match. I think booting them from ranked is a fair punishment.

I have a solution for people with internet connection issues. Fix your connection or don’t play games where other people rely on you or ranked matches until you do.
