I assume the retroactive part is specifically as it relates to Gears 5. If they look into your Gears 4 history to ban too that’s overkill IMO. They should have taken action back then.
640 days does seem quite excessive, even for how much he is said to have quit. Like there should be a max penalty of like 30 days, maybe 60.
Dude won’t be able to play until Gears 6 now LOL.
I know it was. I’m still laughing
Now they punish you for leaving a rank match even though their rank system and servers are trash. This game is dead and now giving people penalties is for sure gonna make the lobbies dead.
What you gonna do for those two days?
How dare you make a post that pertains to the subject of this thread!!!
Wow…they just let anything fly on these forums.
Edit: Apparently Ghost moved your post to here. Disregard above ^
They gave penalties for quitting a ranked since launch, I don’t know why, a month later, anyone is acting like its a new thing.
They didn’t though. The xp debt penalty was a mistake and they rectified it by giving everyone back their xp. This penalty has only been implemented a few days ago.
Getting a time out? That’s not true. I remember quitting a match the day of launch and getting a half hour in the penalty box.
Not sure if we’ve been playing the same game. Check out the previous updates they made to the game or ask another forumer, you’ll see what I mean.
I know what you’re talking about. Quitting in gears 5 giving you a time out from matchmaking for quitting ranked, it did that on release. I don’t quit often, so maybe they disabled it temporarily because of the server Instability, but I can assure you it was there at launch.
First time I hear about this. Than I guess they did disable it very quickly, which is why everyone got up in arms when they started banning people out of the blue. And going at it retroactively no less.
Guess I haven’t quit for a while, I had assumed it was in place the whole time. I specifically remember thinking a half hour was a long time for a first offense.
Man that would be great if they display the ban process during exit
If my lady come downstairs and give me a good BJ while I’m playing the game guess what I’m backing out
