I’ve shared the recent updates TC have put out with my long time gears friends and they dont care and wont come back. I’m only saying this as it’s a shame how even though they fix the game most of everyone who left won’t be back. Just shows how bad TC messed up. To be honest the only reason I’m sticking around is I bought the game thinking it was leaving game pass at some point and got shafted on a refund. Just a damn shame.

Similar story here.
I haven’t had anyone say anything negative about the planned fixes, but my online friends list has been dry since Wednesday.
Only one person has come on and it’s like the rest have just given up.

Virtually no one on my friends’ list play Gears 5… I usually see 1, maybe 2 people on, and it’s usually escape or horde, hardly anyone is going versus… Such a difference from 6 months ago, with Gears 4…

Quickplay is mostly bots and there’s no incentive to play ranked until they fix how the ranking system works. If I lose then I lose, I’m fine with going down in rank if I Iose. But i’m tired of crushing the enemy team and getting MVP just for the game to say “You lost 1400 points, you’re SOL buddy”.

Yeah that’s what I got from Microsoft when I asked for a refund. Also they said they wouldn’t give me a refund since I had already played the game but I had only played it on game pass so I was kinda PO’d about that.
How long did you play it? If it was the last two months, then yeah, they have a point. If it was just a little while, I’d have kept trying. Sometimes you just need to get that one customer care person that actually will do something about it.
It was a day after release and I had played the weekend on GP so I could play early and get a good feel.
Yeah, if something like that happens again, you should stick to your guns. Sometimes you have to talk to three or four people before you get one that actually tries to see what they can do instead of just following the flowchart, but we’re talking about a good chunk of cash.

I laugh at losing points because their system decided I under performed in a round where it was 1v5 KOTH the whole round, and I “only” went 7-3 with 1 cap and 1 break 
( happened last night)…

I can barely get anyone to play this game on a Saturday night. Saturday night I repeat.
They really screwed the pooch with this game. I knew they would but I never in a million years thought it would be viewed by so many people in a negative light. You usually have all the butt kissers telling everyone to adapt or get gud.
It was pretty apparent the quality of the development team in Gears 4 when every single time they touched the game they screwed something up. They couldn’t even introduce the gilded Marcus skin without having to patch it.
Unbelievable.

this game has way to many flaws/bugs many people and myself showed in videos which should have been fixed BEFORE weapon balance is done tbh… sad

I guess Call of Duty and Fortnite are the only good games.

Despite all the previous whining that new Gears were like Fortnite and CoD, a bunch of the players on my list is now playing…Fortnite and CoD, also some Borderlands 3 and Outerworlds. The hardcore Gears players still plays Gears though.

Yeah…I’m about to just delete this “game”. When 1+1 doesn’t equal 2, which is the world of gears, what is the point. If this wasn’t on game pass, id NEVER have bought it. These guys are leaving a lot of money on the table…A LOT!!! I wouldn’t even buy this as a .99 app on iTunes. Game pass - that’s it. Failure guys - I really thought you would have had the smarts to make a proper game - but this is seriously broken.

I started playin gears 4 but I consider myself new compared to my friends that started playing since Gears 1 and we had soo much fun before gears 5. They also left and makes me sad that they rather play other games instead of gears 5. TC did not release a finish product and with all these crazy lame micro transactions they lost long time fans and new players like myself. I might give it another try in 6 months or so. Have fun you all.

Yeah sucks the few people that i actually know and would play Gears with bought the game and lasted about a week. I also shared what TC said there working on and it was a pretty big No. They are not Cod player’s but there invested into it now. I’ll stick with Gears for the good and the bad no matter what. Now it’s up to TC to pry some cash out of me.

Yeah, it sucks losing friends because they won’t play anymore.
Maybe after these fixes that TC has promised come out and actually work … People might come back.
I don’t think many people trust TCs word at present, and for good reason.
I’m hugely cynical of TC, but I’m really hoping they knock it out of the park with these fixes, for all our sakes.
There’s nothing quite like the experience of playing gears with friends.
