It wasn’t an exact number, just used as an example, watch the podcast and you’ll understand, but that’s besides the point. Point is the game is far from dead.
Also the 3 million figure includes game pass. Not a very accurate number.
Ryan has openly acknowledged in his feedback thread that player numbers aren’t where they’d like at the moment, but that the game was “far from dead”.
Not all of those 3 million+ people play Gears for multiplayer. Heck, I didn’t bother with MP in Gears until Gears 3.
3 million active MP players for any game outside of Minecraft, Fortnite, and select PC games is a pretty a lofty number.
