Koth-is everyone just playing tdm in koth?

As a solo koth player, it seems every team i go against lately is a stack, and my random teammates are all playing for elims and high K\D. It gets really old breaking a ring only to get killed and then spectate everyone else 50 metres away taking pot shots w/the lancer behind cover. Is this just my experience? If its not, TC really needs to incentivize the objective more in koth. More points for Breaks. Way more. A break should be worth as much as 2 kills. With dying and re-spawning, that cost you at least 2 kills imo. And their has to be more weight put on winning AND LOSING. Selfish players in koth playing just for #'s…■■■■. Go play TDM. Its BS.

I can’t tell you how much truth is in this. Nothing more frustrating then trying to capture the ring and/or break than having teammates that think they’re incredibly great because they have a ton of kills with little/no caps, it’s the worse. And just like you said, they need to incentivize those caps/breaks.

I’ve stopped played KOTH for a while now, and these reasons are the main ones. I like playing for the objective; it’s more satisfying to achieve.

The thing is though you really have to push the ring as a team, if you push 5 people defending the hill and get a break, great but they’re gunna just re-cap and you only saved 1 or2 points but had you have held off you could of been an extra body if you waited for your whole team. You really have to play as a team but yeah sadly most players who play solo are terrible and the you’re not communicating, you can almost guarantee that’s there’s at least a party of 3 in every game!

I know what you mean though I play solo too and it always feels like the opposition cares far more about winning than my team does.

@McGrady i get all that. But I’ve had teammates heading in the direction of a capped hill and literally be 2 steps from the ring but then turn and deviate to get a kill. We aren’t talking about people waiting for everyone to group up and push together. We are talking about teammates that will wait for everyone to respawn and be ready to push the ring, then ket you do it while they keep wracking up elims. Teammates that only try to break when its the absolute very end of the match and we could win. Teammates that dont care about winning. Just care about getting MVP type stats. Ive had plenty of people admit that its easier to farm elims and rank up playing koth instead of TDM.

Kind of, there is a mission type where you control two rings for points.

This is why they should do away with GP. Go back to actual score .
