I get what you’re saying… Imagine the parents had been giving the child the whole sets for the last 3 years and then suddenly stopped. I think the child would be asking questions. Are you a TC or Microsoft staff member? Or are you trying to make yourself feel better about buying iron for cosmetics?

I’ve been waiting over a month now for my Graffiti Gnasher. No response from support even though I provided proof of purchase. In true TC fashion they have LIMITED the forums so I can’t even bump my own thread until someone else posts on it first…
On topic, I did get the Halloween load-out weapon skins. Used the Iron I got from tour since I like how they look. Still have not bought any Iron though. Barely anything they put in there has appealed to me.

You’re missing the point. People would like the opportunity to earn the whole set for special events. It’s good to get 13 skins but none are the load out skins for versus.

I kinda wish skins would cost hundreds of dollars so i could see which idiots actually would still be suckered into buying them 
TC know that idiots would still buy anything they put in front of them no matter the price. They could literally make a poop skin that says “im an idiot” and people would still buy it. Thanks to games like fortnight, in game stores have become big business. Its not about the game, its about selling cosmetics

But that’s just it. Why not the WHOLE set? Why bar 5 skins to a paywall? This has never been an issue with the other events thats happened in past Gears games but for some reason this one comes along and its suddenly okay and not a big deal? Give me a break.

Because they want to make money? We will not have to pay for season passes, maps and proper content. and this is what pays for that instead. Sounds perfect.

Event skins shouldn’t be put through a paywall period. The “muh season pass” excuse isn’t even relevant. The other skins are free game at this point but to give out more than half of the event skins just to hold onto the rest without paying up is dogsh** and you know it.

So based on your logic I’ll ask this. If someone gives you half a shirt can you call them greedy for wanting to sell u the other half of the shirt? You still get a shirt but it’s not complete.
I understand they are giving acces to the content for “free” (even though time free) but to give a incomplete product then ask their fans to pay for the rest is ludacris.i hate incomplete weapon skins but I hate paying for micro transactions. I will not be putting a penny in this game

Half of a shirt has no use. Dividing the product in that case eliminates its utility entirely. In contrast, you can still use the 13 free skins just the same without owning the premium ones.

It’s not free unless they just give it to you. If you have to spend time to unlock it then you pay with time.
The point with the analogy is that they give something that isn’t complete and make you pay for the rest. Many players want full sets of skins, not a full set -5.
It’s only premium because they chose to not include it with the other skins. This is pure minipulation and I hope ur not blind to it

That’s a bit of a reach but sure, I guess I kinda get where you’re getting at.
But here, I’ll take it a step further and say that nothing is free because just to be able to acknowledge that something is free utilizes a tiny bit of your braincells which is powered by glucose in your body, meaning that in the end you paid with your glucose. Cool, huh?

No I don’t know that. I DO know that we get 13 skins without paying for them just by playing and thats nice. It’s skins…nothing important.
Would you rather pay for maps, characters etc and get free eventskins? Or worse, are you one of those “everything should be free, it’s my right!”-people? Because that is not how things work.

How do you not see the problem with this? I’m really starting to not understand. Yes I get that you get 13 free weapon skins. That’s not what anyone is talking about so that’s a moot point. I’m talking about holding the REST of the set behind money. That’s scummy. You also didn’t read when I said “the rest is free game” because at the end of the day things are gonna be monetized. That’s a given. When you throw out event skins and hold onto the rest is when you start to lose me though.

Very true. Nothing is free in this world. It’s just what is worth spending our time and money on matters.
