Never said that. I gave specific alternatives.

But in still playing ranked modes, and thus quitting them, you leave your team shorthanded, and ruin the experience for the entire lobby

That’s where you’re wrong, it’s not just been ranked. QuickPlay has had unplayable ping for European players as well, and that’s what I’ve predominantly played online since launch. Classic QuickPlay to be precise. I’ve not played very many ranked games at all.

But the blame for quitting European players goes to TC for awful service. We shouldn’t have to avoid key modes due to their ineptitude. I’m not sorry in the least for quitting out of those unplayable games.

I think you are missing my point.
You really shouldn’t be joining ranked games if you know that there is a high probability of you quitting the match. It is a crappy situation, I know, and hopefully TC will fix this problem soon. But you are basically wasting everyone’s time when you join and then quit a match.
If you are going to play online, you really should stick with Social and Custom, until TC fixes their servers

For weeks and weeks, we didn’t know what modes we could reliably get a good ping on. One time you play QuickPlay, you get good ping, the next 5 games of QuickPlay you have awful ping. The same with ranked. We’ve been swapping modes to try and get good connection in Europe. This is the failing of TC.

Edit: I’m signing out now to walk the dogs again and then get dinner etc. If you don’t hear from me soon then they didn’t undo my suspension and I’m gone.

I actually enjoyed the game the 2 or so times I had a good connection, it seems genuinely fun and fluid. But this ban is wholly unacceptable to me.

All the best folks, I laughed a lot during this thread so Gears 5 at least gave me that. Farewell.

yeah this was the wrong place to do this, this is the last place they’ll want to be because it’ll just be a feeding frenzy. Because the best place to get feedback is Twitter not the official website and forum, smile.

They dont care GEARS 5 was a “semi” free to play for 1 buck play the game 30 days… A lot of people from other games already went back to their games like fornite ,cod, bfv, overwatch.

You should not quit a game unless there is an emergency so you deserve your 2 hours ban…
