With the lasts updates to the game I’ve been having audio issues, I can’t hear the voices of my character, neither the steps.
Audio has been inconsistent and of horrifically terrible quality since launch, with the steps and frags being the worst to date.
I have it from a good source that $3 of TC’s budget was dedicated to the entire audio design and quality control.

It’s not just you bruh. The audio is GOD AWFUL. Audio constantly cuts out and gets strange. Steps mysteriously disappear. Sometimes randomly hearing the enemy’s footsteps across the map. Frag grenade volume completely absent. Sometimes you can hear a grenade bounce before it explodes, other times it isn’t there.
Audio also goes lower and then higher. Randomly. Checked on 2 panels. No eco settings. Friend confirms it happens to him too.
The audio has been straight garbage. Apex legends had something wrong with their audio last season where the audio would lower permanently within the match. They acknowledged it and fixed it very fast. We’ve been dealing with massive audio problems since launch. Tbh I think it’s gotten worse.
