If anything Gears of War has taught us its that is a world where there is no control, no rules,

Games like Fortnite they do keep people under control, that why we don’t play such games .

I think my mind its freed now… I mean I spend time with my friends here and I just can’t stop thinking of playing Gears of War games… its sort of a escapism for me out of the computer simulated dreamworld that is life

I’ll give you that outside of re-released maps and game errors, a lot of 4s complaints, my own were “Bad campaign and terrible lootbox system.”

But, Gears 5 has outdone that with Bad game errors, lack of maps, characters and a system we expected to be good, but was just a free battle pass.

I won’t be uninstalling as I have Judgement installed even, and I have 5TB, so it’s no worry for me.

Yeah, Del became a 4th wheel right as Fahz entered the fold. Honestly I felt he would better serve the story dead with how he could affect the characters:

  • JD feels immense regret with never getting to make amends with Del, let alone say goodbye after being so distant. The “Dom” part of him rises and makes him an at-risk soldier.
  • Kait could be pushed to a breaking point after the Swarm had taken every bit of family away from her:
    -Destroying her village.
    -Kidnapping her own mother.
    -Her being forced to kill said mother.
    -Forcing her to kill her uncle.
    -Resurrecting her mother as a host.
    -Losing her last friend.

Putting it into perspective, Kait’s gone through hell and back. It’s no wonder she acts like Marcus and goes crazy about losing control and possibly killing Del in Act 2.

I don’t see Kait being a love interest. But then again, if Marcus somehow managed to soften up then who knows.

Ah but you overlook the best part of Judgement, my 2nd favorite game mode after horde: Overrun. It’s the only mode I played in Judgement.

I disagree about those characters. They may be different characters, but sometimes less is more. The original trilogy was always told through the eyes of Marcus, but through the personal connection to Dom. It was even in one of the dev diary videos of the time 2 and 3 came around. I think the old games did more with less.

Damn this is SO on point!
Gears1/UE and Gears3(despite certain flaws) are the ONLY in generell FUN and Well made Gears games to date!

Downed players who never fire a shot killing you never happened. Nope.

It could be the whole boy who cried wolf thing going on here now though.

And this game with out a doubt is one of the worst in the series, for me personally it is the worst as I actually had more fun with judgment.

But figures are speaking for themselves to be honest, 40 something on the xbox live most played (Canada) and not even 300 average players on steam,

The game is dying there is little doubt about that.

It’s a normal response considering how often they change the game up on us. If the dev is inconsistent, they’ll have an inconsistent fanbase

I feel like the lack of quality with each release makes the community realize that the previous entries weren’t that bad after all.

GIF makes sense to me. Savage Grenadier Elite misses two shots, gets reaction shotted by the Dom, and then the Locust player in the hill downs the Dom. If this appears out of order on the player’s screen, it’s due to latency and the fact that the video is slowed down to like 1/30 original speed.

I like Gears 5 as it is now and every new content is welcome. Too bad we have to wait long time for it.
I fear that if we complain too much they stop the next content/operations.

I’m getting the feeling that the complaints are actually one of the things pushing TC to try improving the game(apparently they have held some sort of internal “summit” to discuss and potentially reevaluate some of their approaches to certain things what, last week or two weeks ago? it was briefly mentioned somewhere in a stream and news post iirc), based on what they have been saying. Pretty sure they know most of the complaints are simply made because people care and not to just bash them or the game.
