Is blade master the worst class in the game on the higher difficulties worth playing? General melee problem

Oh, I do have a team I play with, I do just feel bad if I screw up. I know it is all just in my head!

Good read for a noob to this class, thank all. I will say I go down a bit too often due to delay. For masters runs I’d love this class so much more if perking up her health meant you could take a whack off a drone. It’s almost not worth perking the health because I find one hit at level 0 is the same as 1 hit at perk 10.

Just hit level 19 so will add the new card.

I run without the mace, I’m just not very good with it yet. I’ve been killed in pvp with it from miles away but struggle to get the range right at the moment.

I use the mace to get my ult back mostly and gor boss damage. I have a couple friends that i play with but have to get some randoms in the game too. I host all my games so if someone is doing something dumb i just kick them. I dont really take insults on the internet seriously because .you know, Its the internet. If someone gets upset about something a complete stranger says to them on the internet they really need to toughen up lol

You need all the resists active at the same time. Id say for a player getting to know the class, Brawler, Thrill of the hunt, short range deflect, shock shield, mid range. That gives you the most damage resist for trying to get the movement down for the class.Thrill of the hunt (32%) + Damage resist perk (30%) + any of the other resists short range (32%), mid range (32%), melee passive (30%) gives you any kind of resist you need. Note : a boomshot will always kill you no matter what resists you have up. If a boomshot hits you even with stim it will down you.

I really wish more people understood your perspective regarding this. This is my exact mentality. I’ll never understand how others can easily get swayed with the trolls.

Blade Dancer? If you’re looking for a damage-buff card and you’re debating whether to choose between Blade Dancer or Brawler, I’d suggest that you stick with Brawler until you can level up Blade Dancer to at least level 4. You want to hit the cap of 200% with as few kills as possible (or perhaps a fairer measure, is you want to equal or exceed the equivalent damage buff of your Brawler card in as few kills as possible). That said, many Escape players will say that Brawler isn’t that essential - the bleed from Venom Blade is strong, and the difference in time it takes for people to bleed out enemies with/without Brawler is very small for smaller Drone-size enemies.

Also I’d suggest you consider how many enemies you’ll be fighting. Blade Dancer works on the premise of you chaining together multiple melee kills (not hits) which increases your damage incrementally. Brawler gives you a straight damage buff which remains the same regardless. So as an example, for an Escape Hive like The Line, Blade Dancer isn’t going to be very useful because you only fight a small number of enemies (albeit, they’re all Scions so are individually very strong). You’ll probably fight them 2 or 3 at a time before you have to run off to your next fight and the damage buff you get from Blade Dancer isn’t going to last. However for The Warren as an example, you’re fighting LOTS of Juvies, so you will be able to easily chain together lots of kills to build up the extra damage.

In Horde it’s possible to use both Blade Master; and Brawler because the venom cards are obviously redundant so frees up card slots.

I have leveled it to 5. Purely because it’s a gold card and for some reason cheaper. I had a lot of coins and normally don’t spend them on cards because of nerfs but this one doesn’t seem OP enough to ever get nerfed, I hope. So far only using in horde so use…

Blade dancer 5
Shockshield 5
Shock chain 5
TOTH 5
Brawler 6

When I finish Anchor to 20 in escape, I will give her a try in escape.

in my experience blade master is only truly good with her ult againts mobs of enemies or hard parts. its about being in venom though which is tricky in itself, which forces you to play slow at times or just wait.

my duo in escape plays blademaster a lot and 9/10 times she didnt really do anything, because there was nothing to do. just not really tanky anymore in escape.

I got rid of shock shield. I personally don’t find it makes a difference. Either you don’t need it because you have stunned the enemies with your ultimate, or it gets wiped out immediately because you screw your timing up and get shot to pieces. I am not sure any of the damage resistance cards or perks really make any difference on Inconceivable or Master. So I use like to put in Brutal Claw so I have some ranged strength as well.

This is for horde obviously. Escape varies massively by map.

Ah. Blade Dancer and Bullet Chain (Mac/Anchor) are actually purple epic cards. They appear as gold legendary ones in your inventory but when you qctually receive one in the post-game screen they appear as purple (as well as costing the same amount of GC as epic-purple cards to craft). I’ve also never receive one of these cards when completing a daily challenge where the reward is guaranteed gold cards. It seems TC animated it incorrectly on the inventory screen.
