Is blade master the worst class in the game on the higher difficulties worth playing? General melee problem

This right here, and it goes for every CQC class. They are devastating when used properly but they HAVE to push up. I can’t stand being expected to hide in the base when the whole point is be aggressive.

Brawler (tackle build), Nomad (fear executions), Inflitrator, Blademaster. All fantastic once the finesse of CQC combat is mastered. Unfortunately not enough people give these enough credit or chance.

Just to add, in Horde it helps to have some Decoys dotted around as they can really take the pressure off of the Blademaster. She doesn’t need the enemy to be distracted for long - just long enough to jump in and slash them a couple of times before they move on to the next target; or retreat into cover.

Right. Decoys can help quite a bit.

Also, last night I was playing Brawler with friend providing stun crowd control with the Pilot Hamner Dropshot. Worked out pretty well for easy tackles.

Would probably be great for Blademaster too.

Hey bro,

Did a full diagnostic on the Ambush card.

If killing a enemy out right from mele kill from the front, will not jive you back ULT recharge. However if you hit them from the front and they bleed out then it does.

However, this does now not work on Juvies, leeches (never did tbh) and now Imagos.

And lastly, executions from behind, while DBNO will also count correctly. This also includes the swift kick with the B button. You just need to get behind them.

So here is my guess as to what happened. They fixed the DBNO issue where before executing at this time was hit or miss. But in doing so messed up the Bleed recharge from Ambush on non DBNO swarm dudes.

And last thing. If running the Claw card with Ambush and Flank, there is some weird recharge thing happening where you are getting ULT back super fast. So here is what you do. Look for Scion type or bosses that are slow, like the carrier as an example, if there is an option to get behind them safely, shoot them for about 5 secs or so but where you are just out of grabbing range. When you do this your ULT recharge is crazy fast. And you then finish them with ULT.

One final thing. Thrill of the hunt is pretty much broken now, so I wouldn’t even use it at this point.

This is a big deal. I thought of Thrill of the Hunt as basically making the blademaster class. Do you suppose this effect is intended?

You still get damage resistance from Thrill but doesn’t feel like an additional 32% on top of Mid/Short Range and Venom Resistance. And the healing is so pitiful that it’s effectively pointless in most circumstances.

I think it’s a case of the higher difficulties, coupled with some of the absurd extra modifiers from the dailies, that make this card next to useless. What’s the point of the card, when you only get regen from being in cover, for example?

I referred to Escape more specifically, 80 HP regen per second isn’t exactly going to do much when you’re getting hit by more than one enemy.

True. Either way, the card can’t, I think, do enough good in enough time, to make it worth having, in many cases.

Being doing nothing but 6 hours of testing this morning. Now I’m taking a break lol.

But yea, it will be a build that will allow the Blademaster to excel in any situation. Was doing solo Master with this and got to wave 8 on frenzy. The Elite drones and Ice scions are you biggest issue with the build I’m working on. But they are pretty much that way for any class. They are both so broken,

As a side note. I love what they did with the Anchors barrier now. Just watch those Juives get stopped in their tracks now. Haha

I’ve been wondering how a build would work where I sit back and use the claw card to deal damage and charge the Ult, then run out and chop stunned things up with Shock Chain, Brawler, and Blademaster. Not sure what the 5th card would be though.

Nimble is fun for getting around although Ambush could charge the Ult faster. Not to mention any resistance/stim near taps card.

TOTH isnt broken. Not sure what you’re talking about. Saying the card is useless and not worth running is just a wrong assessment.

No just letting you know that you’re blatantly wrong about TOTH. Its not an opinion, its a fact. Saying TOTH is useless is like saying Faze, Shredder and Razor Hail are bad. Makes zero sense.
