Inappropriate to claim irony? Maybe

But I’m doing it anyway.

Yes, I’m aware it’s a bloody good cause and it’s great what they’re doing. But as someone who has very much tried to get in contact with our beloved and ever-caring Overlords, I find it annoying when they appear randomly and make mildly-related posts while continuing to ignore this community.

Honestly at the end of the day we’re getting more Gears-related Luke Preece artwork which I’m all here for. Love his style.

I’ll give you that, I’ve seen some of his work before.

It’s very odd that they have chosen to do this now when they aren’t updating the game any more. I do wonder how much money these causes will see given that the franchise is dead in the water…

I don’t think this is specifically anyone from TC posting this. Probably just some PR guy posting these across the different franchises using name recognition to help the cause. I think Halo is doing something similar if not the same.

Someone from TC or MS clearly put in enough time to make it an in-game news banner. Which displayed the “no more updates” message for ages now whenever it popped up on its own previously.

Most of the things on the Twitter are just random garbage posts using concept/achievement art or screencaps from Gears games, and that (probably) nobody cares about.

It doesn’t even fit in the box

Well you can’t expect too much effort from poor TC for a community post now, can you?

Hadn’t given this too much thought other than it odd to have an update.

If I was guessing, Microsoft probably encourages/requires each studio to support at least one cause.

Never fight alone does fit.

I’m surprised he just threw away that scroll in disgust rather than burn it so no human eyes would ever have to suffer its nonsense again!

I’ve never actually watched the office. But I did enjoy the movie Office Space from the 90’s
