In your opinion do you think this should be a kill?

When it comes to Gears, there is a blurry line where shots are either Kills or 99%.

Which that being said, it’s not important whether we think it’s a kill or not, what you should learn from this, is that you need to be aware when you are approaching this blurry line and act accordingly.

The picture is blurry, but if you were going behind him, once you took your shot, you should have rolled backwards, slide to your left, anything to get you out of there.

So that’s my opinion, don’t take easy kills for granted :wink:

You must have shot while moving the gun. The server read the direction different. Common.

Oh co-op vs AI is too much for me, i can barely complete an Act of the Campaign on Casual difficulty.

I explained it pretty simple so anyone can understand it. While in movement. Meaning I’m sure you had to move the directional stick to make this shot?

While pulling the trigger If you pressed up while pulling the trigger the server could have read a more up direction than what you think you shot. Plus there could be a slight dead zone with you controller as well. Drift vs Direct application (=

But anyway, i know what you’re saying.

I play with Crossplay on as a Console player so i’m used to playing against PC stacked sweat-lords, 3,000 dpi mouse swipers and macro pistols.

To keep up with them i have to flick my sticks a lot and Gears 5 basically forced me to learn and get good at reaction shots. Which i’ll admit hurt my brain after nearly 14 years of muscle memory not doing it.

However, none of that matters or is accurate in this case. The Karn was sat completely still and i slowly walked up to him from the side and fired with my Gnasher right up against his chest and got a full spread of hit-markers.

The picture is a bit poor as i said, the Karn in the picture just started to move as you can kind of make out which is why the hit-markers are not directly on him. But i couldn’t get a clearer picture with the hit-markers.

As comically induced as this thread is i can assure you this should’ve been a kill and if i had a clip it would be clear.

Could be wrong, but I think you have damage reduction if you’re taking cover. Can’t really tell if that’s happening now, though.

Yeah that’s definitely not a thing, however i admire your bravery to post such a comment and as such shall mark your comment as a solution.

Believe it or not TC makes it extremely difficult for PC players to play this game. Console players get all kinds of player buffs. I play PC with controller. It’s really hard to play online multiplayer ranked anyways.

On a slightly serious note; the fact that a horrid PvP issue like the one here can be presented in a non-sensical (though extremely enjoyable) discussion says everything there needs to be said about the game. Just another day in Gears PvP.

I think you are wrong.

Damage reduction was removed mid OP4.

It was in mentioned in some patch notes… I don’t remember where, otherwise I would have provided proof here.

I checked. It’s not a thing anymore.
