If You Want To Fix Gears 5

Going to keep it short and simple. We need a change to fulfill the majority’s needs.
What change? The change that people are asking for:

-Addition of old maps AND characters (which? read the threads complaining about it)
-Revert movement and combat the way it was as in Gears 3/4, A.K.A fast and smooth
-Take a long and serious look at gunshots as there has been more complaints than I can count about irregular shots that should not have made contact, but it did.
-Fix the ability of hitting 99% and 97% in 1 hit with the gnasher, this is eating to the max. At least in Gears 4 it was 87% and 94%, which made people less angry (but still angry).
-Either add new weapons cause I see none, or bring back old ones such as Digger, Oneshot, mortar, hammer of dawn etc
-Give experience when executing a downed player such as before, it wastes time and people risk doing it mid-game and should be rewarded, as they were.
-Bring back some of the old, nice looking weapon skins… Such as liquid chrome, xbox green, electric, pulse etc.
-After all this, fix the damn content issues such as TOD and unlockables so that the people who don’t care about the above can be happy as well.
-Add Overrun and Beastmode as they were the only type of game mode aside from versus that I actually enjoyed. I hate horde, I hate escape. More game modes = more players playing the game.
-Last but not least, add more tracks or make it optional to switch between tracks from older versions, as gears 2 soundtrack was the fan favourite
-Bring back the post-death cam so we can see people T-bag us

The most important thing: Look back at Gears3/Gears4 videos and literally revert things the way they were, and just make them better as well as add new content to indicate its Gears 5.

The movement and delays are an issue we really need to push. Gears 3 movement needs to be the standard and should be expanded upon for gears 5 and upcoming gears games.

Add a fleshed out Overrun, some old maps & Digger and I’m pretty happy!

Yeah man it would just make everything better. And I agree, Gears 3 movement was perfect and should be looked at when adjusting current movement from Gears 5.

That’s a start! Overrun was honestly great. And digger as well

Honestly the biggest issues Im having with this game are:

  1. Flash bangs are the new smoke nades from GoW2, just used constantly.
  2. Stopping power made a huge comeback, but in a bad way. If im running on a horizontal plane and a shooter is “vertical” compared to where I am, stopping power should be almost useless. Same with shooters from behind. If im running away, I shouldn’t be stopped. Flinching makes sense, recoil from a crit makes sense, but im literally trying to evade. Stopping power should be focused on advanceing enemies.
  3. The movement feels super sticky and unpolished. Haven’t been this bad since the first game. Every game made improvements upon this and I feel like its beena huge detriment.

Those are also definitely more problems that I did not list.

  1. Pretty much yeah - they should be a pickup 100%
  2. Yeah it’s pretty noticeable tbh
  3. This one i basically listed, movement is very clunky haha

You hit the nail on the head pretty well. I can’t say I disagree with your points. Im just frustrated all the way around right now with Gears 5… lol

Yeah man I feel you.

Also another thing - They should bring back the post-death camera, where we can see the player that killed us for a few seconds after we die, to of course see them t-bagging as that will always be a part of gears

T bagging definitely needs to be back
