Would be annoying AF tbh, specially if im on the winning team and one player leaves on the last 10 seconds of the 2nd round.
Have fun sitting in queue times.
One guy leaving isnât so bad in TDM and Execution but it definitely disrupts everything in objective-based games.
Iâd say that the quitter should lose most of the points that the victors would receive. That way the losers would take much less of a hit and the quitter gets the smack down.
Iâm ok with the winning team getting a lot of points. I play primarily KOTH. but when you have a guy quit 1 minute in the first round and lose obviously, you still lose ranking pts.
Iâve posted about this as well. Literally 9 out of 10 KOTH matches has a quitter in it. Always about 30 seconds before the end of the 1st match. 99% of the time its some â â â â â â who believes the only reason his team is losing is b/c he is the only good player. Ive lost so many 1st matches and came back to win the next 2. Its maddening. They need a much heavier handed quitting penalty. I get leaving to avoid lower g.I. disasters. I get leaving for a life or death emergency. And i get leaving simply b/c âmama said soâ. Besides thatâŚbe a man. TC has got to change something. You cant keep punishing the higher performing team. And if a guy quits more than once in a 2 week period, he needs to be De-ranked. Period. I dont wanna hear any b.s. about âits the matchmaking that is at faultâ. Get over your ego. You arent always an under valued player in a garbage team. Sometimes you are garbage as well. Sometimes you are matched and playing in the correct match and rank, and you just draw a group of guys that play as a team. You arent always gonna win⌠And,TC, if someone quits and nothing after that is gonna count, dissolve the lobby and re-que. The quitter also needs a 48 hour ban from ranked and some immediate points penalty as well. If no real cibsequence, no correction of behaviour. Toodles
Damn couldnât have said it any better.
In Execution it can matter a bit more because thatâs a game type of seconds and being somewhere first. A front spawn quitting has more of an impact than a back spawn.
In TDM for sure much less just because having less people to die can mean more lives for whoeverâs left. I won plenty of 3v5 on G5 (also a surprising amount of 2v5s and 1v5s on G4) because of this LOL.
Though, fewer teammates means less map control. If youâre up against any competent team you donât have much room to move or any access to power weapons.
They should just make it so if a teammate quits in ranked the team thatâs down a man doesnât lose any points for losing. The team that wins should still obviously gain points for winning.
could cause people intentionally quitting if they are losing but that person would still get a temp ban from ranked.
And they would still lose points because they were losing while they had a full team and the not losing points only applys after your team is down a man in ranked.
Definitely wonât stop it but it should make it less frustrating for people that are trying to play ranked. They wonât have to worry about being deranked due to someone quitting.
they should be giving the remaining players a 4X XP boost for actually finishing the game
You arent always an under valued player in a garbage team. Sometimes you are garbage as well.
Lol thats actually true, most of the players ive encountered that say âgarbage teamâ, are rarely the highest score on the team.
@sdp Iâm with you. Iâve been told that with the changes to rank, individual performance isnât what is important anymore. Its winning, and winning 2-0. Yesterday I was on a team that won 2-0. I was 3 out of 5 regards performance and score, and amazingly we had 0 quitters. Yet I had 0 points received for both matches. It was quite confusing.
@JerryG95 the thing is, and this is what drives me nuts, you donât have to be the best playerâŚor have the best team to winâŚif a team plays as a team, and people play their rolesâŚyou can win. Iâm not the most offense oriented player. I am usually 4th or 5th in eliminations. But, you know what Iâm always 1st in? BREAKS. The most under valued and under appreciated taskâŚyet imho, the most important. If you make it very hard on a team to get points, or at least large chunks of points, you have a chance. I may not be able to go win a 1 v 3, but by god I can throw a flashbang and jump into a circle. Iâve had ganes where that was pretty much all I did. Plus, doing it over and over again frustrates the beejeezus out of a team. And if they get frustrated, they push things and make mistakes. Just play your role.
Yeah that is the trade off sadly, you get more chances but that could also mean more chances to be farmed if the enemy knows what theyâre doing so a quitter is definitely not advantageous.
Well â â â â it, why not. Im already getting zero points for 80% of my matches since the recent tier update anyways.
I completely agree, however most of the times ive encountered this, are players thatspeak as if they were carrying the team, but they barely do sh*t, either, kills or objective.
Bring back the 90 day ban!
Iâd rather they bring back the ban cuz honestly this whole zero points per round after a quitter is skewing any upward mobility in rank
@SM0KIN_D4BS. Exactly WHAT YOU SAIDâŚEXACTLY. ITS B S. THAT EVERY TIME I DRAW A GOOD GROUP AND WE PLAY AS A TEAMâŚI GET ONE MATCH OUT OF IT âŚEVERY SINGLE TIME. ITS SO FRUSTRATING.
I feel like we have to accept quitters as a part of reality that will never go away, and there is no method to prevent quitting and there is no way to fairly mete out punishment for quitters who might have dropped the match for any one of a hundred reasons including a cat walking through and unplugging an Ethernet cable.
And if a gal quits!?
Then the game should be period, voided
