Ice skins supposed to come to store

"The Ice Weapon Skin loadout set is available at launch through purchases of the 5TB Seagate Game Drive Gears 5 Special Edition, with the Ice Lancer also available in the 2TB version.

This set is planned to be purchasable in the Gears 5 Store at a later date."

Not sure if most people know but the Ice skins were confirmed to come to the store “at a later date” a year ago but we’ve heard nothing of this, sorry if it’s not post-worthy but I just wanted to bring this to people’s attention since I know a few people wanted this skin.

Probably once the new Xbox releases in November. Since they won’t be selling many Xbox One X’s anyway… (Don’t even know if they’re even still in production)

That was quite a while ago. Much has changed. It probably just fell through the cracks.
I got the full set with matching Kait and Jack skins with my Xbox. They are nice.

It would be cool,Op, Would definetly buy them,as I didn’t get the Gears Xbox one x :cry:but I did get Kait on the gears 5 exclusive controller.so if TC can get theses to buy In the store that would complete the collection,Thanks Op for the info​:+1:

I have the set (and Kait) via Gears console but tend to stick to Black Phantom 99% of the time. Hopefully you get a chance to get soon

@III_EnVii_III I feel the same way… and why it’s still pissing me off about the Cobweb set I was collecting, for whatever reason they never did the Last set… and then the new store came in Op 4. Can’t wait to have to buy the entire set, for only 4 guns, cause THEY forgot to add them before hand… but I’ll do it when they finally do, cause like you said, I hate incomplete sets.

This is a problem with splitting up sets when a dev is incompetent.

Just don’t do it to begin with.

How did you get the black phantom? Is it a carry over from 4? Cause I have the skin for just the talon but no other weapon, so that always confused me??

Yes. Gears 4 challenges.

Game is over a year old. Release the exclusive ice skins (which I already have).

Yea that was part of the Raam Challenge I believe… I think that specific road to gears 5 challenge gave us both Raam and the Black Phantom… idk it all runs together on me cause I did all of those lol… really shouldn’t have wasted my time with the esports kait challenge though, cause I never use her, but none the less lol

Yeah I remember my one friend kept faking on me trying to get the coop hardcore campaign challenge but I completed the rest, RIP

Road to Gears 5 challenges. The black phantom set (And Gilded RAAM) were unlocked by completing the campaign on Co-op hardcore or higher, reach re-up 10 and earn 1 million XP. But obviously the time frame for that challenge has come and gone. I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t be at least a little upset if gilded raam and the black phantom set came to the store.

Like the general rewards they done said loyalty rewards (which is what the road to gears 5 skins are, dana even used gilded skins as an example) won’t be added. The moment they do, they get flak for lying lol.

Will say the Raam Challenge was the most brag worthy of the lot and best reward for doing so. All the other challenges was one fairly simple challenge, while Gilded Raam and the Black Phantom was everything you just said… ontop of that though, not only did we have those at the launch of Gears 5… when the standard Raam totem got introduced, we got him for free, no iron, no challenges, just had him instantly… at least I did.
