I’ve been playing Gears since Gears 1, I even bough my first Xbox cuz I tried gears at my friend’s house, felt for it.

I’ve been playing every single night since then, once I stopped for 3 months cuz of work and then got back. I’ve talked about it with friends, try to explain them why it was the best game ever, the only one I didn’t play was judgment, cuz well, there is no need for explanation there.

Gears 4 was perfect, when I found out that Gears 5 was coming, I didn’t want it, I told my friends that you could just sell pack of new maps for life and I would play forever hahaha well. Gears 5 came out and it was a disaster, you updated it and got better and better… I have meet ppl in real life in different cities cuz of Gears, made great friends cuz of it and still got them now for more than 10 years.

Then you eliminate Warzone and introduced TDM okay okay, it was kind of the same, and we still have Execution as well.

Then you eliminate TDM and and only leave Execution, okay, I can dig that, then you go and eliminate execution and add 4v4 TDM and a new horrible thing called Gridiron but it was kind of Warzone but with a horrendous flag that needed to be carried around… what?, we wanted 5v5 TDM. Then you go and eliminate Gridiron, and now the only thing we must play with my other 4 teammates its KOTH, but noooo, now its 4v4… So now we are stuck with 4v4 KOTH and 4v4 TDM but only 1 other friend and me… I mean, what are you doing? Really?

I understand there is a lot of toxic crying community that hates teams, but that’s not our problem, I have been playing this for almost 15 years, leave TDM or Execution and let anyone who wants to play there alone, why you have to put a limit, I have my team and now I cannot play with them. Leave the playlist alone, we hated gridiron but a least it was like a warzone or TDM.

I have to say Gears is the only game I play and if this continue I’m sad to say that I might stop playing once and for all, I know this mail means nothing to you but at least I said it, me and other friends feel the same.

Take all your points, but can I ask why you don’t just stick with 4 then. I “know” you shouldn’t have to but at least you and your mates are happy thete.:+1:

I still adore Gears 3 over any other Gears, so I spend 90% of my Gears time with it. Still a hard-core community on it as well.

Also play a good deal of 4 and again that has a large playerbase.

I fully agree with your points on 5 though.

I tried it about 6 months ago, i did. Movement felt great but the screen shake almost made me throw up from motion sickness… Just couldnt do it…

Fair enough, I get that. I just love it so much that I don’t even “see or feel it” anymore. :+1:

we feel you brother and there’s many more who agree. sadly, “competitive balance” has been prioritized over fun.

why they care if we play our flawed, unskilled TDM games is baffling. it was popular

Not the same with team of 4 if we are like 5 or 6 friends that always play together since Gears 2… plus KOTH its boring after 2 matches. I think we are going back to Gears 4. Im sad bro :frowning:

I agree mate, that is what I was saying, go back to Gears 4.
I just played my second game of Op 5 koth, both matches on Clocktower… Here we go again🙄
With the movement and 4v4 TC have ruined this mode, it plays horrible.
And although it makes zero difference I hate they way the have not even tidied up the start, we just have a missing space where the 5th team mate should be.

This is almost back to square one on the first beta release.

So inconsistent, so blocky feeling…

Right before OP5, I honestly thought Gears 5 was feeling better. Things were at least pretty consistent.

I do not enjoy OP5 at the moment at all…

I agree with all of the above. The good old Gears 1 days where everything was pretty consistent except if someone was host. Other than that, it was always a good fun shotgun battle.

Now there’s explosives from any angle… shock grenades… flames… it ruins the shotgun

I am a solo/duo player and I absolutely hate the changes they’ve made to the ranked modes making them 4v4. Personally I prefer TDM and was against the regressive change when they made it during Operation 4. Unfortunately, not enough of the player-base pushed against the decision and now it’s infected KOTH as well. If this continues then I assure you that Gears 6 will release with 8-player lobbies.

If they truly wanted to fix the issue they needed to dive into their matchmaking settings and push full teams to match against other teams. Honestly I’d go back to playing stacks if it meant we returned to 5v5. This was a terrible decision.

It’s pretty terrible.

I have no words anymore.

Always was strongly against what they’ve been doing to ranked modes.

It’s atrocious.

People thought I was crying but it’s the truth. It’s terrible.
