I’m happy to report that Lahni is a beast again!

I feel you there, unfortunately if you want to play Lahni in horde you either have to host your own game or join a friend with low ping

I remember one time when I was just looking for free level-ups, I joined a 4/5 Horde match at wave 42 and picked Lahni. They had a killer setup, no problem, probably didn’t even need a fifth person to finish with ease.

I still got kicked before I got to shoot anything or the next wave even started.

People in Horde really don’t like Lahni lol.

Yeah, I’m sure Lahni was the issue.

Not sure what your sarcasm was meant to imply.

I joined, ran to where they were set up, got kicked before the next wave started. I didn’t do anything yet.

Someone looking for free xp, aka doing nothing, usually goes hand in hand with kicking said player.

I wonder why they don’t like him. I have been Cole with Paduk and the other way around and as long as there is some communication, they can work well together (like Paduk executing a Drone so Cole can attack a Scion when Inner Fire isn’t up for instance.)

He said for free XP. Odds are he went in there with a low level Lahni. Either that or I should feel sorry for them and the person who kicked him is just a ■■■■. I’m guessing I shouldn’t feel sorry with how he said it.

What? No. You guys misread me lol.

I was a lvl.15 Lahni in an Insane Horde. I didn’t have time for a full run so I looked through open lobbies that were close to the end so I could join and help. Found one with a solid team and joined in with Lahni. I wasn’t idling or not doing anything. I literally spawned in, ran to the side of Forge where they were set up, and got kicked within 10sec.

Not sure how you read what I wrote and assumed I was idling for XP.

That’s what we read… probably ought to be a bit clearer next time my man.

I’unno, still feels like a jump if I’m saying in the exact same post:

Regardless, meaningless misunderstanding. We’re good.

A lot of people (especially on forge) aren’t good enough to win without the meta characters that they learned how to win with and the exact speedrun setup.
In reality you’d have served them better than an AI but they thought you had an inferior character and they weren’t knowledgable enough to realize that a Lahni that doesn’t run out of the base and get killed is better than an AI and that a Lahni that can drop tags in the fabricator is better than an AI. Plus if they were only on insane - that’s easy so for them to be so worried about a non meta character on easy then they must’ve had a lot of insecurities.
I rarely have enough time either so I stick to frenzy and I do insane if I have to start solo. If you join me with a Lahni then all I’m going to do is win. Those guys were afflicted with learning disabilities or kick happy narcissism and weren’t worth your time.

On a side note… a valid concern that they could’ve had was that for Lahni to thrive in horde she needs to perk up some so if they were starving for energy then that could be a valid concern but I think they were just foolish.

Forge runs are a great way to get people to play PVE

I actually don’t hate them, I am bored with them and the thing that I dislike which is associated with Forge runs is the closed minded people who want to just stay stuck in a completely meta rut that are attracted to Forge.
You’re not wrong but you do risk getting kicked if you join a forge run without a meta character.

Agreed. Certain maps like Forge (plus Blood Drive and Overload) have become an easy and quick means to an end for XP. Obviously people are free to play as they please, but I personally find it boring to fixate on the same map and gameplay loop over and over.

With Escape, the equivalent is The Surge on Insane and The Clock on Insane and higher. I understand why it appeals - it’s quick and easy, but I tend to get bored quickly as it’s so repetitive. The speedrun thing from GOW4 burnt me out and I’d rather just play for the challenge and fun than put myself through that level of repetition. That said, I’m not against playing on Forge etc. Just I have to mix it up. I played Forge on Horde over the weekend and that was the first time for about 2 months.

so what is her new passive now?

Melee kills and bleed kills heal HP.

Thrill of the hunt is near instant though, if you hit first you’ll be able to survive being hit from most things.

The best Thing about her new Passive is you dont get “punished” anymore for killing (especially) Juvies too fast/effective anymore, I remember in OP1 when TC added Venom Blade that i did alot of testing only to come to the realization that Lahni is better of not killing Juvies to fast in order to heal and have Damage reduction from her Trill of the Hunt Card. So i started playing her without using the Brawler anymore, now it does finally make since to use a Card for higher Meele Damage.

I’ll be honest, something still feels off about Lahni. Even when within range where short/mid range res are active and while in venom and standing next to a bleeding enemy I take way more damage than usual, to the point of going full red. Healing from Thrill also feels slower than it used to be pre-Op 4 fixes. Even though it seems like the skill should be bypassing any delays and providing damage res to make Lahni super tough next to a bleeding enemy, in venom, at least against gunfire, it feels absent.

I’ve noticed this also. It seems no matter if you have Short and Mid Range on, even while bleeding, Lahni doesn’t heal fast enough. The only thing I’ve noticed that improves it is when having Brawler on with Short and Mid Range + striking multiple enemies at a time (about 3 minimum) it boosts Thrill higher, allows her to last longer.
