Now, on a technical level—Gears 5 is trash.
On a storytelling and writing level—Gears 5 is mediocre at best.
On a customization and storefront level—Gears 5 is pointless and unsatisfying.
On a gameplay level—Gears 5 feels boring and off putting.
On a fanboy level—Gears 5 is just truly disappointing.
But on a meme level—Gears 5 is up there with Anthem and Fallout 76 as far as I can tell. And I love it.
Such great toxic threads every single day, ranging from “They’re forcing a female lead on us,” to “This makes sense if you’re a jew,” some true jems, but let’s not forget our favorite, highly-demanded Delivery Driver Mac that they totally didn’t re-roll in the shop because they didn’t have anything slated for the next week.
Some truly great memes and the dumbest forum posts I’ve seen in a very long time.
