Why are you giving the exclusivity of players from the microsoft store to everyone? I mean the main set of the Showdown skins.
I think that this type of action is not fair to me, at least do not give the Lancer, gnasher and snub showdown, leave us something exclusive.

It was only General TOD rewards and the Road to Gears 5 content that was said to be exclusive. Even then, they did try to sell the Black Phantoms.
Yes, but these were never sold or anything. Afaik this is the first time they’re even available.

The point was that very little is exclusive anymore.
Gears of War devs have always loosely thrown around the term ‘exclusive’ (even back during the Epic Games days). Rarely anything out of all the Gears games and merch has ever really remained ‘exclusive’ in the long run.
Well, I get a bad move on the part of the developers, and mainly by the real players who still gave little hope to the game
The merch ones should come out (not the statue one) after the merch itself is discontinued (or be sold separately for actual $ simultaneously like the Aape set) but if someone played in a tournament for those, TC should acknowledge that and keep them exclusive or at the very least charge real currency by adding them permanently to the Esports store. $15 a set with the respective banner/bloodspray for an event sounds fair. They can even preemptively sell them for an upcoming event for extra support funds to drum up some hype.
(And honestly I had no idea they were even doing events right now)
As an aside, I still want to know why they changed the Texas banner to some generic Omen on a blue field. There’s an actual Texas (matching the Desperado weapon set) themed banner that TC “accidentally” released and then took away and it pissed me off. If it was for the tournament participants…WHY. I got it for watching the EU stream - that was in the middle of the night for me. I get that the Texas event was cancelled due to the pandemic, but Europe has nothing to do with Texas and the actual esports event that was meant to be played in Texas got the remainder of the Desperado skins. I don’t like not having that full set.
(Yes I’m from Texas so that’s why I’m so annoyed I didn’t get the rest of it.)
Dividing a set into ONE skin every quest is irritating. They should do it like the in-game earned sets: loadout, marksman, power, assault. I don’t equip a set til I complete it.
Well, they have to pull in viewers somehow. If everyone could just tune in, click on each set once and leave again the streams would probably be even less crowded than they already are.
