I do everything wrong as tactics textbook told but it just work so well

First of all, i actually like it because it let me have so many way to have fun, not just duck in cover and flank them next turn.

But i made so many bad moves in the game.

  1. Dont rush into a enemy when most of them is in the fog of war.
  2. Dont end your turn in the flank/expose position.
  3. Dont put your sniper in front of all other units in your team.(and expose the flank in the same time XD)

And I disobey some gears tactics rules in the same time.
Like: 1. Dont get too close to a melee active enemy.(sorry i just wanna retro charge the zealot anyway.)
2. Dont shoot the grenadier if you cant kill it in the same turn.

I call this style as SpaceMarine type of strikes, heavy armored and keep the enemy as close as possible, melee them one by one.

If you toss a frag at a melee enemy before you Retro charge them it’ll interrupt them and knock them over.

After that you can charge em or chainsaw em because the zone of death is gone.

not work against zealots or wrecks. They always have the daze aura until they use it and wrecks never stop counter.

Shoot or nade before melee attacks only work on grenadiers

Which difficulty and chapter are you playing? An enraged grenadier on insane is frightening, let alone a bunch of them coming at you from different sides at the same time.

There are some mechanics in the game that let you kill everything with ease (try looking for a video someone posted a few days ago playing solo as Reyna) but on average, the game provides a decent challenge.

The same person who made this thread posted that video… so while I’m sure your advice is appreciated, they can’t exactly watch their own vid for that purpose, can they?

There is a big difference between saying “I do everything wrong and it works fine” while playing on easy difficulty and saying the same while playing on insane but at the same time knowing how to exploit the game’s mechanics.

He should at least mention he knows how to effectively combine all abilities, someone new to the game will get the wrong idea otherwise.

I mean, this is rule 101.

If anyone is doing that, that should be sent away, to common sense school.

You are right, normally grenadier with berserk do over 1000 damage with crit.

But in the video my unit have 105% resist (25% base resist), and with vulnerable debuff it only take 250 damage from grenadier.

Space marine style is basically use bayonet charge stack resist to make the feel of “we are wear heavy power armor”

Thats me too, I just love turn base tactic, and i wanna to show this can be play as so many different way and its not bad.(side mission design is bad thoe)

But the Reyna vid just because unhappy for how easy she got capture in gears 4 .

but its the only shot at there to get that “8 kill in a turn” hahaha

Common sense no longer exist.

I never got to tinker around much with abilities since I got the HP limit bug every single time during the last boss fight so I gave up in the end.

Will be sure to give it another go when it releases on xbox (hopefully with little to no bugs) and that scout build will be on the top of my list.

That scout nade build just sick.
XDDD
saddly we cant have boss fights after we max our chara build
