I am sooooo tired of misleading Horde card descriptions

“Ammo for heavy weapons is increased by 55%”

Awesome!!! I love it! I always thought Sarah was a useless character, but with more powerful shocks and larger capacity trishots, I realized, no, she can be a great participant on higher level Horde runs… You know, runs where outside of JD and maybe Fahz/Kait, everyone sits on trishots… So having a character which gives that heavy weapon more ammo, that’s awesome…

Yes, you know where this story is going, right?

I played escape to level her up from level 1 to level 9, jumped into a horde game, and I saw 30+ rounds in the salvo, and… 140 rounds in the trishot…

Let me $%^%ing guess… it doesn’t apply to Trishots, right? Because the trishot is not a 'heavy weapon?"

ohh, wait… because it would be too useful…

salvos are fracking useless in this game, outside of Clayton’s stun … Sure, Sarah can shoot salvos all wave, but so what?? What is she going to kill with them, on Master? ONE guardian??

I am sooooooo sick and tired of this crap, of misleading cards, of this bloody obsession with not having anything which is actually USEFUL offensively…

I gave up on versus a while ago… I’m so close to giving up on Horde, because of this frustration… These stupid restrictions, loop holes, limitations, nerfs,

It’s like their mission is to make sure nothing is actually fun to play (ohhh, well, expect JD, and maybe Kait)…

Haha, Cole… Great character… This melee card, doesn’t apply to his tackle… WHY TF NOT??? It’s clearly a close up melee like action, he’s not shooting anything… It should absolutely apply… and then he would be super useful even at the highest levels…

But noooo… that would be too much fun and too useful/helpful… So a tackle is not a ‘melee’, just like a trishot is not a ‘heavy weapon’…

So if the card said it only increases ammo in the salvo would you not have played her?

Putting out a constant stream of salvo shots all wave long is quite a bit of DPS probably only topped by JD and remember that you don’t need a direct hit with them plus they do splash damage unlike the tri-shot.

As for what the card states well let’s just say that it would have taken you less time to google it’s actual description than it did to write this rant.

On a final note, the card does not say it increases ammo for ALL heavy weapons so it is accurate.

It does say “AMMO FOR HEAVY WEAPONS”, it does NOT say EXCLUSIVELY ONLY SALVOS. So it is a boost, for ALL HEAVY WEAPONS. Now if they can’t word their cards right… which we know they can’t, they need to go back and fix it.

That was just one example but cards descriptions are indeed misleading .
Eg Fahz’s 50 percent increased reload for long shot - it increases size of active reload ( sometimes !) but doesn’t increase actual speed of reload - as someone pointed out here when they actually timed it.
There’s others as well which are vague - increase 1HP for Lizzie - what exactly IS 1 HP?!
Increased SB duration with salvo - was listed as 55percent increase - NO IT DID’NT.
Also TC do seem obsessed with taking away fun element of characters and making them overpowered ( I. e ‘useful )
A badly thought out , overly contrived , badly implemented horde system.
Another post ‘trash talking ‘ about TC . They deserve it

Agreed, and if there’s gonna be exceptions it should be listed under or in the card description.

The worse thing is, it’s been like that since launch.

Support ticket to TC, back in February, still not fixed. Oh well. Must be low priority.

Lizzie’s Sisters To The End skill would like to come knocking.

Also goes for Keegan’s Explosive Venom Resupply which previously had two different descriptions on the card and “detailed” explanation, one saying it reloaded them “50% faster” while the other reloaded them “40% faster”, but now both say it reloads them “40% faster”(whatever the base recharge rate is). Wouldn’t be bothered by it being 40%(it previously did seem to have the 50% effect) if it didn’t result in the ability not recharging a Dropshot/Boomshot/Salvo fully in TCs newest messy hive concoction called “The End”, which just screws the Keegan player over in so many ways(especially if the others aren’t pulling their weight or just not doing great) on a Master run due to the sheer number of enemies present.

Other hives, totally wouldn’t mess with Keegan. But this newest one… definitely does.

Yeah, not to mention cards that don’t even function properly sometimes, Clayton’s reflected projectiles with the heavy shell card doesn’t cause bleeding damage. Cole’s defensive tackle and Soothing warmth skill cards don’t even function

I don’t recall the skill cards from Gears 4 having this many issues, in both description and in regards to actually working.

Tri-Shot is not a heavy weapon so it is also not affected by Clayton’s stunning card!
Heavy weapons: Salvo, Torque Bow, Freedom Lancer (partly). And maybe some other weapon… So heavy weapons have got heavy/explosive ammo! Tri-Shot’s ammo is NOT heavy! :upside_down_face:

That isn’t the card’s description. It is “Enemies hit with explosives are stunned for 3s.” Which means explosives from grenades to Boomshots to Reject explosions to Torque Bows.

Clayton also has a card called Heavy Charger. It means when you score hits with heavy weapons, you get some ultimate charge. Its description is “Each successive hit with a heavy weapon reduces the cooldown of Reflective Shell by 0.15s.” With a Tri Shot or Mulcher, you can get his ultimate very quickly.

But Mulcher is pretty weak when used by COG. :unamused:

Sad truth. When used by Mulcher Scions, it does triple the damage which even on Master, wrecks everything. I wish the Mulcher did 250 a shot instead of 180. That would make it pretty strong but the Tri Shot would still be better at longer ranges but at closer ranges, the Mulcher would wreck everything.

Torque bow is NOT a heavy weapon. Heavy weapons are literally HEAVY., anything that doesn’t allow you to RUN, means it’s a heavy. You need your head checked if you think all those you listed are heavy weapons.
By your logic, the boomshot is a heavy weapon, but it’s not.

There’s only two heavy weapons you can run with though…

The boom shield and Cleaver, that’s probably the mix-up.
