How many player are aware of Jacks new passive ability?

Lvling up Jack is so tiresome. There’s a myriad of issues with Jack in itself, but I usually play an aggressive build and most of the time zap enemies next to or at least in range of teammates and more often then not they focus on a different enemy for no reason. I know 50% extra damage may not sound like much but hey, it’s there… might as well use it.

I was aware of it but sometimes it can be counterintuitive if you have Zapper Upgrade and Ultimate Cooldown levelled and was trying to do as much damage to get your Hijack back. This is probably useful on bosses but it’s hard to see if the +50% damage is actually there. Who knows if it’s not actually working, just like Blademaster’s 30% melee res isn’t there? Would need testing.

It’s working, at least according to the randoms I’ve asked if they felt/saw the difference. One of my friends also noticed the difference when playing Marcus.

I was going to say that. Based on my experience of playing Jack and having teammates attacking zapped enemies(or me hitting enemies getting zapped) there was a definite increase in the damage dealt, most notably to Juvies not requiring as many melee hits to kill.

I would gladly give up my rights on the Boomshot Scion almost in the middle of the base if it means he’s gone then. Leaving that aside, past Wave 4/10 it’s almost pointless engaging Drones as it takes more than 1 zapping-cycle to even down them and every time you start zapping you put yourself at risk of getting downed since the stun-effect takes ages to kick in.

Ice Scions become a deathtrap in later waves since they immediately turn around when you decloack/start zapping even if you’re right behind them.

And randoms certainly don’t have issues with “stealing” my kills during the Ult when I actually need credit for them.

The new passive does work the Zapper use to deal 30 now it deals 45 Damage so it even works for Jack himself

Couple of Days ago a Jack zapped a Guardian while i was shooting the Silverback Mulcher and it works for that thing too.

Turning on Damage numbers is helpful to see if something really works in this Game.:joy:

Can confirm the 50% more damage is working correctly. Normally lahnis regular melee bleed damage in horde maxes out 1125 but with Jack zapping a boss it was bleeding for around 1650.

Ooo maybe I’ll give Jack a try now.

Actually a lot of fun with the aggressive build. If the randoms don’t finish off your kills the entire time that is.

I have never played as Jack. I’m too much of a kill mongrel. (Marksmen, pilot, infiltrator [pre nerf]).

I have stayed out of the green classes for the most part. Maybe I will dabble with it. What do you use as a Jack build?

Randoms do make horde frenzy matches (that’s all I really hop into) less fun when they are a crutch. I don’t mind kill stealing, it is what it is, working towards the same goal but I know the feeling of how that takes the fun out - 100k damage no kills lol.

Rampage / Backstab / Explosive Hijack / Healing Upgrade ( works for hijacked Enemies as well, better than the increased health imo) / Zapper upgrade

You do need them to extent your Ult though.
