just curious on how long the game will be updated for
I’m guessing 10 total. 5 per year sounds about rite due to delays with operations as of late. Hope for more but I’m guessing 10.
I think like 15 man…
and then we’ll have Gears 6 , since the money can’t stop there… they want you to use your VISA/MASTERCARD Credit card more and more…
So since they want you to have more money Gears of War can’t end… just like Chess or Tetris for that matter.
I’m happy for that… as long as they keep getting it right Ill provide the credit card with no fuss.
10 seems generous, but I’ll take it.
@D_A_N_III_3_L I really hope Daniel is right and we get 15 and it does lead us up to Gears of war 6. That right you heard it right here. "“Quote un quote” insider. The return "of war"
I hope they plan on bringing out 2 classes for horde/escape with as many of the new operations they release.
The same amount Michael Jackson had.
I lost count on that one.
You’d imagine a good 10
Still dying for more maps, new weapons possibly and most definitely more skins/characters as most of us are wracking up the coins for nothing atm lol
going off of the Gears 4 lifecycle it will be a three year gap between Gears 5 and 6.
if I remember correctly TC stopped big content drops around a year before 5 launched. we probably have another 12 months of Operation level support coming.
another 3 or 4 Operations I guess. also Depends on if TC keeps doing 4 month gaps instead of the 3 they initially promised.
I really hope TC takes an additional year with Gears 6 in order to get this game in a proper spot before wrapping up support
I’d say for as long as they’re profitable they’ll keep them going. I’m happy to keep getting content and don’t mind chipping in to support the game even though I’d enjoy the game just fine without buying any purchasables.
they’ll have about 7/8 by the end.
Each operation is extremely likely to last 4 months, OP5 will release after about 1 year of release for Gears 5, so they’ll either end up doing 2 or 3 operations come 2021.
The bigger question is how many maps will we see in Gears 5 by the end? I wouldn’t be surprised if we had a map pool close to Gears 4’s in both size and scope, possibly exceeding it even, though I am much more a fan of quality over quantity anyways.
I agree fix Gears 5 make it better then make a 6th down the road
A body can only handle so many operations before it dies.
Microsoft might not be willing to let this slide though. Their need for a big AAA 1st party game for Holiday 2022 might force TC to keep this three year dev cycle. state of Gears 5 be damned.
