Chess is interesting, watching Chess isn’t to me.
My point was that I see no reason why not have both ? Can’t be too resource intensive to add a mode back they already did have.
Not sure why this should be a one or the other thing.

They have all these dumb blood splatters and banners and weapon skins that are all stupid but they don’t have execution. And you ranked has 2 shotty only game types and tdm is a 2 person limit so you’re stuck with koth. I hate it. I hope they read this ■■■■.

It shouldn’t just be brought back in social either honestly, if they just throw it in a cycle of social games none of the talented players are gonna wanna just blow threw social gamer fodder. It’ll get boring quick.
They will have to put it in a competitive setting, and try and reward ppl for playing it Like they did gridiron. Which literally no one asked for.
In my opinion the competitive gears scene shifting from Execution to Escalation. Was the beginning of Gears losing its identity as a single life strategy based team shooter. Now we’re just seeing what I like to call “the call of duty effect”
Makes me feel old to say it but, a kid starting up gears today is not at all being offered the same experience in gears of war 1 I was offered as a kid, it’s not even an option they can choose at this point.
Sad to see the most original console shooter Forgetting how it got here.

No, sorry but that simply isn’t true. Execution rules lead to gnasher only fights not respawn modes.

Get rid of gridiron and make the meelee stronger takes 5 swipes to knock someone down.
A bit off topic but I’m no gridiron fan myself, idk many ppl that are. Ppl only play it cause it’s the closest to execution they offered.

Game is can’t make top 50 on Xbox most played and is #498 on steam and can’t even crack 500 players at a time on the biggest pc store.
Along with game pass.
Along with being a showpiece for the new worlds most powerful console.

I agree %100. I just hopped on for the first time for Operation 5 and I was so excited seeing the old and new characters and maps and then boom… “Where the **** is Gridiron?”
For the first time I am actually upset. I have put up with all the changes since launch and gave them the benefit of the doubt, but what the hell is this?
In Operation 4 my favorite game modes were Gridiron and 2v2 Gnashers because I personally don’t like the more hectic game modes that much.
They are alright and I will still play them, but why completely remove both now?
I’ve always came back to Gears but I’m gonna give it a break until they bring back some type of single elimination mode. It’s too much to deal with along side the 4v4 and movement nerf, I’ve never been this upset about Gears, but I am with this man when he says we were insulted.
