Hoffman for Operation 4!

I love seeing so many classic characters being added to the game and I think it’s about time we see Hoffman make his return to the series. I threw together a little chart of some ideas I had for his skills and abilities. I thought bringing back the hammer of dawn would be neat considering we haven’t had a chance to use it in horde yet (and we all know how fun it was to use in the campaign).

I’m no expert at creating characters and I understand that this may not be the best, I just did this for fun and thought I would share it with everyone :)!

edit: I didn’t have the correct numbers for the score boost cards but those would just be the same as all the other character’s cards

I have been thinking the same thing lately. I am only into versus so I dont care about the abilities. But would love to have Hoffman back in his general uniform. Hat and all. Gears 1 version

I’d like to see Hoffman, but even more than that I’d like Chairman Prescott back. He was my favourite in Gears 3. My favourite line was when he got hit by friendly fire: “Are you stupid AND blind??”. And his scream when he was downed or incinerated was brilliant.

they seem to be making a hivebuster’s DLC, and Hoffman is the leader of the HB program. So his VA is probably putting in work.

No what we need is old man Hoffman in his wheelchair but its like a hovercraft that flys around and shoots rockets

I mean his voice actor is 71 and had a heart transplant in 2017. I’d like it if Hoffman came back but…I don’t see it happening with his V.O. actor’s age.

I guess that’s why we didn’t really get to see Hoffman in this game. Of course, they can always use some old dialogue of his. I know they’ve done that with some characters. Queen Myrrah doesn’t have all of the dialogue expressions and COG Gear is missing some if I remember correctly.
They could do what they did with Oscar and use a different voice actor but that would get a ton of heat.

There is plenty of pre recorded dialogue to still make him a relevant player. Just no new content.

It’s funny to see so many people swerving over Dom.like he hasnt been the character with the best personal storyline in this game to date.

Love this idea! As a disabled person this would probably end up being my favourite character, plus we need a token disabled character for diversity :woman_shrugging:t2::joy:

In new cog gear armour, custom emotes with new voice lines as escape rewards indicating the va’s are recording lines while no one else is getting new custom emotes.

Those custom voice lines have been there since launch or near launch though. And they’re not the only ones to get these. They were just recycled as rewards later on again, since apparently players wanted to see those leaderboard rewards brought back.

If you were aware of this already, just ignore the post.

Yeah they would be cool. I think Anya, Dom, and Aaron Grifin would be great too

I think Dom would be best… Delta squad should come first. Then trickle in the rest. Dizzy would be nice also.
