Personally I don’t think you’re missing much at the moment. Some nods to the past and a good set up for future comics so we’ll see

That wasnt what he was referring to. We all know Baird created the Dee Bees. However they were not initially intended for combat. They were later changed and adapted for combat later on, but we don’t really know the circumstances.
Wisdom Thumbs is referring to these circumstances - was it Nevil (a COG scientist from the comics) who did this? Obviously the COG leadership like Jinn would have to have authorised it, but the idea would have come from someone.

The DR-1s aren’t DeeBees. They are combat-only robots with a similar design to the DeeBees.
I’m leaning towards a yet-unnamed Jinn cronie being behind the DBs militarization because I kind of want Jinn/COG to become a major antagonist at some point, and it serves that end well if she has a bunch of underlings who are loyal to her vision. It makes her all the more imposing if there exists a sizable faction of humans who are dedicated to fulfilling her agenda beyond just following orders.
I’d like to see things culminate in a eventual 3-way match up between the Swarm, Loyalist COG, and our heroes as part of a conglomerate of Outsiders, Disillusioned Gears, and perhaps Gorasnaya.

Na shes dead. There’s 1 major hint in the prologue of Gears 4 with her last will and testament as a collectible. Also if you’ve read the books you know her character and she never wanted to leave Hoffmans side. She would have been next to him, Cole, and Sam in the prologue.
Where can I buy it and download it on PC? I mean, I could read it online, but I want to support TC and the writers and artists.

Technically, Bernie’s last will and testament was found in the Anvil Gate part of the prologue… while Bernie was still alive. It was written “just in case.”
Seems she’s dead though. For sure. Makes me sad, but if Hana is the daughter of her and Hoffman, I’ll be kind of impressed.
There’s a reason I bring up the possibility that Hana is Hoffman+Bernie’s daughter. I’ve met a couple kids with really old parents. One of them, who I met at a homeschool seminar, actually learned to walk alongside his elderly dad… because his 70 year old dad suffered a stroke when the boy was born.
I know she was alive during that part I only say it because knowing Bernie from the books I doubt she would write something like that if she didnt think she was gonna die. Also from the book you know she would never leave Hoffmans side as she stated it and her not being present at the ceremony in the beginning o f Gears 4 its another big sign

Really let down. It was ok but all they did was confirm the obvious backstory of a character.
So anyone else read the final comic ? Bit of a let down for me overall. I certainly preferred the RAAM one.
