No, no, it’s ok. We all know the prequels are premium meme material.

Anyway, where were we? Oh yes, the creature. I sadly think people would hate on it because it’s “not Gears” because it’s something that strikes unpredictably and isn’t just a straightforward kill with conventional means, requiring you to keep your guard up and listen for sounds it makes moving around, and for when it may attack. It’d certainly add a tense feeling that I’m sure the “OG Gears fans” would appreciate since they’re all about that Gears 1 atmosphere… although the only times I found it tense was during the Kryll night time sequence and in and around the Imulsion factory complex.

Yeah that’s the highlight of this video. I’m glad to see he’s doing well enough to get back into the recording booth. Good for him and his family.

I wonder if this means we’ll get Hoffman as a character in a later operation?

Plenty will most likely hate it, yes. Even though large monsters aren’t uncommon in the Gears universe, such as the Leviathan. But haters’ gotta hate, they will probably complain it’s too colourful, has too many feathers or just make up anything else. Keep an eye out for the ''This is the worst gears ever" or “This is a stupid turkey” posts.

I prefer bosses that are more challenging than just ‘shoot as many bullets as possible’. A bit more difficulty than shooting the Matriach on the back of the Swarmak’s spots would be appreciated. I really loved the Kryll, I was kind of upset that they didn’t return after Gears 1. Not a boss that you need to kill with bullets, but something whose presence you had to tolerate and provided for a significant part of the campaign the feeling of “If I go there I will die”. Gears could use more of that.

It’s highly likely at this point, as he’s been in the booth to record lines for this DLC, may aswell of done him new Multiplayer lines.

I’ll probably buy it at some point, if just because I like the hivebuster lore.
But 20 Bucks for 3 - 4 Hours is very steep, especially with no replayability that I can see. Gee that is about 1/4 to 1/5 of what the witcher expansions had at the same price.

Of course I bought the Hivebuster Comic Collection for around 15€ physical so eh.

RAAM’s Shadow cost around $15 at launch right? It’s not much more. We don’t know what else comes with the Hivebusters DLC - possibly a weapon skin set plus the character skins for Keegan, Mac, Lahni and Hana Cole? It doesn’t seem much different in cost and value.

Well a weapon set or skins would definitely add.
The hivebuster comic had the Mac Mechanic Outfit.

I’ll admit though I place different Values on different things, so I compare it more to the witcher 3, since it’s a game than the comic.
But like I said I’ll buy it eventually just not sure if on day one. Eh who am I kidding huh ?Prolly only Cyberpunk could keep me from buying lol
