The dude for PVE in dev stream said we will be getting a new boss in horde in gears 5. Only makes sense if this is the new boss he was talking about.

Why does the entire DLC claim to be Scorpio’s first suicide mission when it clearly isn’t, and they have different looking armor? I’m not really making sense of it.
Depends. I believe what you have to do, is to renew your XBL service for the maximum length of time which I think is 36 months. Then if you’re new to Game Pass, you can convert it into the equivalent length of time on Game Pass for £1 / $1 or whatever. However if you’ve already been on Game Pass then you won’t be able to get this deal (as far as I know). You could set it up under a secondary gamertag though.

Yeah what Bleeding Pepper says except if you have all ready had gamepass it still works once it’s lapsed, the only difference is you ahve to buy a 1 month pass which then upgrades the lot instead of the £1 upgrade.

I did it for 3 years for less than £90. I’m not expecting hivebusters to come with this but if it does I will be over the moon as I really only did it for games for my son and tactics.

Okay, so a few things to take from this trailer:

Hoffman features in it, and it sounds like his old voice actor. This massively increases the likelihood of Hoffman appearing as a multiplayer character in the near future. I mean, they obviously had him in for the voice recording sessions, so it would make sense for them to have done the multiplayer lines as well. Alot of us (myself included) had been thinking that Hoffman would not be returning as his voice actor had retired and a few years back had some major surgery.

The Onyx Guard Keegan skin looks like his main one for this DLC campaign.

Likewise the Brash Brigade Lahni skin does too.

Interesting that in the last scene (where Lahni says “see you on the other side”) they’re all in their standard hivebuster armour.

There’s a female character at the 1:00 mark of the trailer firing the chaingun from the King Raven; and appears again at around the 1:07 mark firing a Lancer - looks like a totally new character. Is that Cole’s daughter Hanna (it looks a bit like her from comic drawings)? I thought she was a scientist? What is she doing in a combat situation? On 1:10 it looks like she is captured by a Snatcher - so maybe she’s an NPC and part of the story is also to rescue her?

I doubt it, like I said I think it looks too big, like the kraken from the gears 5 campaign which also isn’t seen in horde, my hopes are for something that’s actuallt swarm related.
I’ma say this, not sure how I feel about the “abilities” they’re throwing into the DLC. Normally I prefer my story with more story, not MP based “abilities” without a Jackbot or other gadgets to give a believable excuse for those things… unless one is given in the story of it.
Also hope it is different enough from the Hivebuster comics to be interesting in its story and location. Considering the description it might be, but Pahanu might just be one of those islands. Then again, it didn’t really seem like a very jungle-like place in the comic.

It looks like Hana Cole - Cole’s daughter who is a COG scientist who invented the venom used by the hivebusters on their missions. Hard to tell for sure, but it looks a bit like how she’s depicted in the comics. Apparently Hana was originally supposed to appear in the main GOW5 campaign but the idea was scrapped.

From the trailer, there’s a brief bit that shows her getting captured by a Snatcher. I’m guessing part of the mission is to rescue her as well.
That said, the scene at the very end shows the three of them at night, wearing their default Hivebuster armour, and Lahni saying “see you on the other side” - I wonder if the DLC campaign is split into three main sections. I have a feeling that the first depicts them surviving after the Condor is attacked by the Flock. They then meet with Hoffman in a cutscene. The second is their mission with Hana to a hive and which ends in Hana getting captured. The third and last part is of them tracking Hana and rescuing her, and this bit ends with the last scene in the trailer of them allowing Snatchers to take them into the same hive that Hana is being held.

You get to use Escape/Horde abilities in the DLC 
and that bird though 
Already looking pretty hype in terms of content/features, question is if the story will be good.
