Am I the only one who wants to break my Tv when I’ve been on 9 kill streak or something, just to die by a CAMPER on the other team sitting behind a wall or obstruction? Campers and wall sitters are the worst aspect of the game idc what NOBODY says. I can deal with any of the other bs BUT THIS. Literally every game mode too. Ranked or unranked. Like damn it’s THAT serious bro? Your THAT weak that you have to cheese for a kill?🤦🏾

As frustrating as it is, it IS a cover-based shooter. I mean, the fact it’s a shooter full-stop means that there’s an element of cover-usage, and this is just part of it - concealment, surprise attacks, defensive play etc.

I mean, all you have to do is treat every corner as if there is a player around the corner.
If you cant keep track of all 4 or 5 of your enemies, then thats on you bud. Not trying to come off as rude.

I like to chainsaw round the corner when they come charging. Like to picture their reaction to being interrupted suddenly with a saw surprise out of roadie run. lol.

The vast majority of the time, you can make a pretty good guess at where campers are gonna be, and as long as you’re careful, you can easily maneuver around them.

Don’t charge corners.
I would love just to run into campers,then everyone corner Up/A ing all day long!
Treat every wall as an enemy is on it…especially when it gets really quiet or your team gets power weapons…or the other team runs out of spawns…if you see somebody camping a wall…9 times outta 10 they dont think you can see them…slide cancel the wall…they’ll most likely spin the cover and you can react to their reaction…believe me… most players are dumber than you think and will easily react to the slightest movement.

I get the frustration. Most of the time if I assume someone is behind a corner I’m good. You should change your approach to corners. Going wide is simple and effective.

I’ll also go wide. At least it makes things harder for him. I can get the first shot in if he’s there even though it’ll be partially blocked by cover. Hopefully he doesn’t one-shot when he returns fire. Not the most competitive vs player (I play on keyboard/mouse and mostly just a bot-walker, I can’t do any trickery with controls), but IMO most of the time the person behind cover has the advantage and wins the fight unless he’s bottom 10% , and/or you’re a pro bouncer/up-A/back-A’er, or if a teammate intercedes.

With the garbage audio and complete invisibility in many pieces of cover compared to previous games it’s no wonder this is the hide and seek Gears game. Yet another reason the game is ■■■■■■■, which is a compliment to a dev like TC.

Hard to counter what you can’t see…
As a veteran gamer of Gears, Titanfall, COD, Red Dead, and many more…
My hatred of corner campers (CC is equivalent to SS in this case) is not exclusive to Gears and I’ve always found it irritating.
One of my favorite mindsets for online PvP is playing purposefully underpowered.
For example, in Mortal Kombat, I tend to draw towards characters that are considered to be D-Tier or lower. In Titanfall and COD I use a lot of shotguns and single-fire guns that go against the standard SMG/AR meta in most FPS’. And in gears 4 I had a. lot of fun running the Lancer/Enforcer combo. Something that caught most players off guard.
Because an MVP when amazingly underpowered is tons more satisfying than one where you play the meta to get that MVP. Try it. Play KOTH and try to refrain from using the Gnasher. You’ll have to change your entire approach and use tactics not common in Gears PvP, which may just catch your opponents in the bug.
Fun as Hell.
