Surely you can engage in a simple question in good faith right?
Why do you want hero system taken out if they can give you a mode where you aren’t restricted by it?
Unfortunately this individual daniel is just a troll.
He isn’t going to engage with you in good faith.
He is going to make ridiculous incoherent responses that are geared to agitate you, mostly by ignoring what you say with a pretended level of low intelligence. (At least, he will do this if what you say is in any way positive of the game or the hero system)

The whole too many of the op classes bit, thats why I skipped 4 altogether. When I saw the hero system in 5 thats when I decided to come back to gears.
You highlighted my issue with 4 much better than I could.
The answer it’s simple Marcus its not a hero, its a bad asss soldier who knows how to solve military conflicts and real life problems . if you want a hero shooter system perhaps try Apex Legends or Fortnite man., such system doesn’t belong in a special game like Gears of War.

Didn’t TC say that one of the reasons they are having a hard time releasing new COG characters is because they have to figure out how to build their cards and abilities for Horde and Escape?
And IMO, many of the Hero abilities and ULTs are pretty meh.

I don’t believe they characterized it that way.
They said the process of creating these characters is complex, because a lot goes into balance consideration.
I think the ults and heroes are pretty good. Well rounded spread of balance.
I keep repeating myself, but so often the core issues are ignored and people discuss the minutiae / descend into bickering.
Gameplay / gunplay / atmosphere / aesthetic / sounds / feeling / fun / Fun / FUN / FUN
Still waiting TC.
Bells and whistles mean nothing when the core is rotten. Fix the core, and the bells and whistles aren’t / don’t become a big deal either.

Again, I still don’t understand.
Use a strong gun for trash mobs, use explosives for big mobs off a locker.
I have never had issues with ammo as keegan in master, and I have played games where I was carrying the dps on him.
I play Custom or Public because non of my friends play G5 Horde. WLs are hit and miss. Even with a party. Because when you do find a dropshoot or torque bo, and someone removes it to place their gun.
Besides that, the limitations to the Fabricator, can’t buy other weapons or granades, and other issues with the game.
I know they are working on stuff but waiting for that fix is just, I don’t know. Taking too long and in the meantime, the experience isn’t as good as it should have been, for me at least.
Yea I play nothing but custom lobbies, and I usually don’t have anyone in a group with me.
I’m just lone wolfing it 99% of the time.
I’m sorry you aren’t finding more organized games man. That really stinks, but if you can get yourself a decent engineer, there shouldn’t be issues.
Frankly, unorganized teams should fail in the second half of the difficulties imo

Well I was going by Dana when he said something to the effect of,
“Think about a ULT that would go well with Bernie. That’s how hard it is.”

At the end of the day, the Hero system is why they aren’t able to just release a character. Even after the design is finished.
This wouldn’t really be a issue if they were better at delivering content.
