So I rarely play outside of Marcus, jd or engineer. I know Keegan got a decent buff after the last update but I was in a run with a lvl 18 Keegan and this dude was spamming like multiple booms like seconds within one another. So was he actually glitching the game or did I not unlock the right cards to do that.
The card, Speed Loader, lets him do that. He can fire Dropshots faster than Boomshot, simply by tapping RT, but the explosions would be close ranged. If you plan on trying it, I’d suggest; Healing Module, Shredder, Recharge Bounty, Duration and Speed Loader. Speed Loader simply removes the need to reload.

I like to run the Thicc Circle (large radius) instead of Recharge Bounty so my team can get the 63 percent damage reduction and the ultra fast healing . Recharge Bounty on Master isn’t really needed since you do enough damage to get your ultimate fairly quickly.

It’s a speed loader card. But it has to be level 5/6 in order for you to spam the boomshots.
Another thing about the speed loader card is that at level 6 all shots are actives.

Don’t forget his explosive reload perk as well otherwise speed loader won’t do anything.

Yup! In all honesty I rarely use speed loader, with those perks its not a necessity. If i remember right speed loader counts on others in the “circle” with you which for me has proven unreliable.
It actually doesn’t work for others.

Resupply amplifier gives a bigger radius for everyone to benefit from it. Offers no other advantage other than ammo refill.

Yeah that one is still one I use, it is nice for roomto move around to shoot. But speed loader is nice with its just situational. Rarely does anyone stand in it with me even when with no randoms. Its just dangerous. Healing module helps me take a few hits while shooting. Im not against sharing but most have other things to do then sit next a keegan.
Edit: just saw speed loader been awhile since I was keegan it different than huddle(what I thought it was). Still believe it to be situational however.

What style of play do you do to regain the ultimate!? I find it only come back every 1.5 waves. What weapons perks cards do you use? Card builds quote so for are only good in ultimate. Outside of ultimate he seems low tier when in those card builds. Idont really like using keegan.
Mark and kill. His ult recharges faster on higher levels due to spongy enemies. On Master he can get it every round in most cases… I’ve had it 3 times on boss waves, I’m sure better players than me can offer more examples.

I think you need the Hammerburst Damage card if you’re playing any level with More Health enabled. For those first 15-20 waves when you won’t have your resupply speed perked up, you will need some way of inflicting damage. Sure you can use the boomshot in these early waves, but you only have 3 rounds and will be running all over the map trying to pick up ammo boxes. So I try to save my boomshots for emergencies in these early waves, and I try to let other players like Fahz get a share of the ammo boxes. I tell the engineer not to make me a locker. The energy saved not buying a level-4 locker (which I think is about 18,000) goes into my perks.
Especially on bosses since you can use it, make them bleed a ton and then when it ends, you get ult charge from the bleed damage.
