So the ultimate edition that myself, my friend and countless others have paid for to get early access is essentially useless now (considering the overwhelming majority of UE users will be buying for early access). Thats really not ideal to be honest and a poor showing from TC.

It is definitely frustrating but I think Nvidia is more at fault here.

I would argue TC are more responsible for the planning of this. This issue has been reported by many since the tech tests and there was no response or support. TC would ablsolutley be in regular talks with card manufactures about drivers etc and should advise about the earlly access launch they sell to millsions of people that they also charge extra for.

Latest driver 19.9 with proper installation
At this point, I have had too many crashes to count whilst playing Gears 5. It doesn’t matter what I’m doing, I will always get random crashes with no way to fix it.
I have tried to reduce all of my visual settings to see if that helps at all, but nothing changes, and the game still crashes.
While AMDs Game Ready Drivers were delivered in time for September 5th, Nvidia will not be delivering their Game Ready Drivers until the 10th.

I understand that none of this is any of your faults at The Coalition, but I would’ve appreciated if someone could’ve said this before release. I booked a day off from work to be able to play this game, and I’ve had no opportunity to play it without it crashing seconds in after launch.
That article dosent even mention the error that an incredible large amount of players are getting, its not even for the right topic of issue…
Same problem. Nothing from your message helps. Many people from Steam reported about this issue. But nothing changed… And looks like nothing will be changed

been having issues with amd radeon 580 in the snow level when u start playing as another character that is jd cant cant passed tyhe cut scene

I FIXED IT!!!
Well I didnt fix it but the issue is fixed, i changed absolutley nothing other than reinstalling the game 8 TIMES!!!
I couldnt get a refund from MS (■■■■ you MS) and was insiatant that I would try to fix the issue myself, before I downloaded this game my windows was completley up to date and my drivers were on the latest version. I rolled drivers back, went to previous versions of windows etc etc but in the end it just took a hell of a of reinstalls.
That means SOMETHING is up with how the game installs itself or downloads, The Coalition need to look into this and stop blaming it on graphics drivers.
Hopefull it works for you guys. Now I just have to deal with the whole other myriad of issues that this game has (looking at you horriffic monetisation)
i lowered down my resolution lowest able to and still cant get passed act 2 chapter 3 boss fight was hitting 100 fps should be more tbh as iwas hitting 200 fps on menu screen, reinstalled once may just wait till they sort out the drivers or the game
Im not so great with computers. My problem is that I play 10 mins then I freeze then crash gw502 with my rx 590 im really not sure what to do
