Two months? I don’t think I have been here that long. Man, this quarantine really warps my sense of time.

Also, I need to give credit where it is due. This is the third time your legendary exploits have been mentioned. I bow before the master.

I hung up that hat long ago.

I genuinely don’t know what interactions you’re talking about or why you’re concerned about me editing my post so as not to offend anyone. Honestly, this is too boring to keep talking about so hopefully we can just agree that we don’t understand what each other is saying.

If I do, I’ll be hitting you up.
Watching your YT stuff BTW. I think you’re the only Gears player I’m still subbed to.

That sounds about right lmao

Nah don’t let yourself be gaslighted

Oh my
I honestly am the worst Youtuber there is haha… I just use it mostly as a dump for clips to link to.

But thanks for being a subscriber! ;D

I did recently try streaming though at twitch. I don’t know if you do the twitch. Same username there.

Well this is clearly false even with the evidence you posted. There’s a total player count of 7m but only 1.2m monthly average users . Just to compare o Gears of War 4 which has a MAU of 630,000. Half of Gears 5. It’s clear that people aren’t choosing to switch over and how long will those new players even stick around for on Gears 5, it’s the core player-base they need to convert and keep.

It’s fine to be objective about player counts it is evident it’s dwindling and something needs to be done to fix it.

Cool, I tried to check out the YT stream that night but didn’t catch it at the right time. I’ll look you up on twitch though. Been getting so much work lately that I can’t play as much, but I vicariously game by letting twitch play in the background while I work.

Gears 5 can’t be saved.
But the hardcore fans of this game need to find a way to demand more than broken game after broken game with no content.
Hopefully microsoft is getting the picture after their latest bad gears game.

What makes it lack content? It’s far more on par with Gears 3 than 4 ever was, in fact I’d again have to say it just refines what 4 does, and it does it better, now having played hours of Escape and Horde, as well as a handful of campaign run throughs, I have not seen many bugs, in fact I can’t name any, I’ll freely admit I’m not a big multiplayer guy with Gears, I’m the minority who despises wall hopping and Gnasher spam, preferring to kill you with the Lancer or Enforcer, and it’s led to many a hate mail (often in Spanish), so please I’d love to know why you think it lacks content or what you think it does wrong

I only play multiplayer.
Lack of maps for starters? Pathetic multiplayer map count.

I disagree with this statement.

One thing we need to consider is that much of the content and it’s release dates are set months in advanced, so TC may not have the ability to react quickly to sudden community feedback. For the most part, OP 3 has addressed many of the communities major gripes.

I do agree, the recent changes to the Gnasher had come seemingly from nowhere, but the fact that it was tuned in the first place means that TC is in fact trying to please the fans. Octus made it very clear, that TC will not make reactive changes, but instead look at weeks of collected data and then make tweaks. I would expect that within the coming weeks TC will comment on the feedback the community has provided on the new Gnasher, which admittedly is feeling better everyday.

There are plenty of threads on this forum talking about the multitude of issues with the game, so I won’t go into detail about those things I agree with. I severely disagree with you that this is one of the better games in the series, but I’m not going to attack you for that opinion, because I honestly think it’s a good thing this game has some people who like it. I don’t understand it, but I respect it…

However, one thing you did say in your reply to me that I want to directly address is your “give it a year” comment. That’s just another reason to let this game die… As a business model, it is TERRIBLE to release a subpar product, taking people’s money and then “promising” to fix things later on. Even you must agree that the state of the game at launch and for a few months afterwards was awful, yes?

Gears used to launch as a complete game. Notice I didn’t say a perfect game, but a complete game. And if there were issues, they would be fixed relatively quickly, NOT 6, 7, 8 months after launch.

If this game were to just die now and be the flop that it was at launch, that could possibly send a message to TC/Microsoft that we are tired of giving them money to be beta testers for a AAA game…

Seems like a great business model. Take a cherished license, publish a new entry on lower budget, reap the rewards. Consumerism will handle the rest.

Also, Microsoft published MCC which took a long time to be playable. It is their modus operandi.

I do thank you for the respect it’s such a rare thing in these times, now I will give you that, yes Gears used to launch as a complete game, but to counter this, PS2 games used to launch complete too, so did a ungodly majority of 360 games, if not all, the main titles I bought did, we’re kind of in an era of, “yeah it’s glitchy and buggy but we’ll fix it through updates” so I can’t take it away from them for it, it’s become the new societal standard for gaming, Divisions 1 and 2? RDR2? Let’s not even talk about Halo 5 for the sake of my crushed soul. It’s unfortunately the norm, I may not like it or agree with it but it is what it is, and sure it’s pretty bad to have to say it’s ok, it’s really not but just letting it die doesn’t change much, they tried that with battlefield 5, and unfortunately they’re still trying to keep it alive, they’ve put too much in now to let it die, I think as gears fans, it’s our job to make the best out of it and do what we can as a community to support this game, it’s gonna be rough, it’s gonna go through bad updates, but if the R6 community can keep that game alive somehow, then I don’t see why TC can’t make this rough diamond into what we all know it can be
