Everybody, I know this probably won’t really get much attention, but it’s time for us to rise up as a community and not let this game die. There’s so much that we don’t have that should of been given on release and so many issues that haven’t been fixed, there is a core fanbase that is slowly dwindling that doesn’t deserve to dwindle, it has good lore, good mechanics, and good gameplay, were being ignored when we tell about issues or giving advice, I myself and many others have been banned or blocked by The Coalition twitter, this is from giving constructive criticism, not giving insults. I doubt most people getting blocked are giving just constructive criticism. Sounds like the people that come on here complaining they have a 24 hour ban through no fault of their own

I don’t think the game is dying. Their is a vocal minority that loves to hate on Twitter and this forum. And that is their prerogative. It is the minority though. Their are plenty of people that play this game.everyday that have never posted 1 complaint anywhere. I myself complain about things on here when they bother me. But, I also try to drop some praise when I feel its warranted as well. I think at the end of op2, the game felt really good. Really good. But the buffs to lancers along with the removal of flash bangs(b/c of crybabies) has changed the dynamics of koth. Its not a dynamic I particularly like. I understand why some people may have disliked flash bangs. They had the option to choose a smoke instead. Now I don’t. I can even see removing flashes from TDM. But they were/are needed in KOTH. I think eventually we will see a revision back to something close to the end of OP 2. Gears has always had a niche player base. But its very loyal. If you love playing this game for the same reasons I do, you will never quit b/c you can’t get your fix anywhere else but with Gears. There is just nothing else that comes close to giving me, “the juice” that I get playing the game.

Removal of game types because the player base is spread to thin after 6 months does not mean the game is dying?

Player population is 7m with 260k new players last month with 1.2m active users last month.

Sucks that this forum has degenerated into;
-someone posts a concern.
-people race to try and out-gif each other.
Would be nice to see Gears fans come together to try to save this heap but the community is pretty divided now. I wish TC would do what some devs do and adopt a council of community representatives that they’d discuss game changes with. I feel like they’re too arrogant for that but if they truly wanted to save the game it would be a good start.

To be fair, these constant threads that read like break-up letters have never been productive either. They’ve earned their meme status just like the “We Need Cliffy Back” posts.
This community has been divided for a long time and it’s only gotten more ridiculous.

I dont understand why we dont have more polls etc. If they really want to listen to the majority of the players.
Because polls would leave out the majority of players who don’t use the forum.
