Guardian issues: multiple leaders

I usually avoid playing Guardian but is there nothing to stop players from picking the same skin as the leader in this game? (Previous games didn’t allow it)

I played against a 5 stack who were all the Jinnbot which made picking the leader out of the huddle unnecessarily difficult in a smoke cloud. Under certain lighting even the silver bots have a gold tinge.

Maybe colorblast the leader? :rainbow::dart::grin:

Shouldn’t be able to play as jinn bot or the speaker, can get infuriating.

Or even better, have more recognisable leaders. Gears 4s were better for starters.

Cool and messed up at the same time.

Yeah the fact that you can play the speaker/jinnbot in guardian is really dumb.

Oh my god :man_facepalming:
You could never play as leader character in any previous gears game
Why
Just why
This is why you shouldn’t be Able to

Wow, that is just … dirty.

I remember doing this in Gears 2 with the Kantus character or whatever it was that looked like Skorge.

Especially considering IT WASN’T ALLOWED IN 4 FOR THIS EXACT REASON.
Good ol’ TC landing on the “move two steps back” space.

I dont think it was allowed in 2, 3 or UE for assassination.

That’s a really clever tactic (and annoying too).

Sadly, it is how it is.

Yikes! This is frustrating.

Same energy.

Umm in gears 4 you were able to do this trick as well, one time me and my squad decided to be the lightly bronzed armor Marcus skin because he kind of gave off a goldish glow from a distance and we would do this just to confuse people from afar.

It was actually.

Crazy how TC hasn’t locked those characters off for Guardian. I am thankful I have never run into a full stack doing this.
