Gears 2 was supposed to be faster, but the campaign and multiplayer speeds were swapped.
For almost 3 years people on here were complaining about how horrible GoW 4 was as a game, and now they want things to go back to it lol

I think its smooth and plays just right. One issue GoW 4 had with fast speed was stupid mechanics like wrap shots and wall bouncing at a 100 mph and randomly shooting hoping one will land. That play style will by much harder to do in Gear 5 and i think its a good thing. You can still do those, its just much harder to pull off. Kodos to those that can.
On another note, the Gnasher is great in this game
